Hi...we will be at Disney over Memorial Day weekend. I understand it is a zoo at that time. Has anyone done a park in the morning and tried to go to a water park at, say, 2:00??? Would we be able to get in or would it be too crowded to even try? What park would you recommend we try on Sunday and Monday early morning if we try a park? (Sunday is MK EMH and Monday is AK EMH). ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated by an excited and anxious planner. I have 3 boys...7,5, and 1:D

Actually, that is a pretty good time to go. Lots of people leave the water parks about 2 or 3 and chairs and umbrellas open up. We have this in our plans for June.

I don't know with that being such a busy time. We were there the first week of June a couple of years ago and I wanted to run back by BB to pick up a map for my scrapbook. This was a Wednesday and the park was closed due to capacity.

*bumping it up for some more suggestions??*

I would head over to Epcot on Sunday. You're right....it's a zoo over Memorial Day weekend and Epcot is a big enough park to absorb a huge crowd without feeling too packed.

If you do a water park you may want to consider Typhoon Lagoon. The wave pool might be your salvation if the lines for slides are outrageous.

afternoon often brings rain at the water parks. what time do they close? if the goal is to "hit" a water park, we have had great success going about 3 hours before they close. by that time they've cleared out and you can get much more done in less time. My DD, from age 3 on has loved Blizzard Beach much more than TL because the kids area feels more adventurous to her (she's a daredevil).

If you have to go to MK on Sunday to fit it in, I would suggest doing rides in the morning, and saving the "show" type attractions for afternoon. I would definitely recommend EMH at magic kingdom--you will have a couple magical hours to treasure before it fills up. MY DD and I did fantasyland, then were waiting at the entrance to ToonTown. She ended up walking between Minnie and Mickey to open it, holding both their hands. We were first in Minnie's house; got the signatures of all the characters, got on the first ride of barnstormer and were out of there in time for our Buzz FP. And---it was the saturday of labor day weekend. By 1 pm the park was too full to bear

We've done the Memorial Day week thing, and I'd suggest going to the waterparks at opening time. They fill up quickly, and if you're there early, you'll get in. About 2:00 was always when the rain started, so you'd be better off to get in there early.

Thanks everyone....grinningghost, I was hoping to hear from someone who'd done it over Memorial week. I still haven't decided. It's hard to fit everything in!
