Anybody else notice how a "W", looks nothing like a double U? I mean, lets take a look at it...

W

UU...VV

It looks more like a double V to me than a double U. :confused3

No real topic. Just thought I'd share.

double U kinda rolls off the tounge. it sounds much better than double v. good point though.

Same with the word "Indubidably". If you really sound it out it sounds like "Undoubtably". And the two words mean the same thing...kind of.

i've noticed that...

i've also noticed if you use/type/write a word many times in a sentence it starts to sound/look wierd

thats what I was going to say!!!

Yeah, I've kind of wondered that too....

It's like there are two ways to "write" a "w": the way it turns out on this computer as "w" or the way you can write it with curved bottoms like this "uu" (although that looks nothing like a "w", you get the picture).

Yeah, and that was my rambling comment for the day! :goodvibes

I have noticed that too, but when I would bring it up, people thought I was crazy..

I am so dense. I didnt get this topic for the longest time. :rotfl:

And why does "I" have to be special and be capital!?

(I am being serious)....

I think that since it is a proper noun because your are talking about yourself, that it has to be capitalized. You don't write your name like this: billy, your normally write like this: Billy.

~Billy, who really needs a LIFE!

when i write my W's i sometimes write quick and it looks like a U does that count?

this is an old quote but i just thought that i would share this...
in Spanish the letter "V" is said like vey...
the letter "W" is said like dublevey...
so they are like saying double v...

If you've ever seen a sign that's really old, probably during the colonial times [I've seen some in Pennsylvania], They spell all the words with Us in them with Vs.

For example,
Under would be spelled like Vunder.
