i am going to disney on september 30 (early morning) and the race is on october 1, 10 pm. what do you suggest where/what i should eat before the race?

thank you! :goodvibes

Pre-race nutrition is going to be pretty personal.

In general, you aren't going to want eat anything out of your norm. I'd also stay away from anything overly rich or heavy.

My current game plan is to eat a nice large breakfast and a pretty decent lunch. I'll probably have some form of sandwich around 5:00pm and then a Clif Bar or something similar around 9....I personally don't like eating a meal less than 3 hours before a race or game starts.

15 minutes before the race, I'll pop a Gatorade G01 and then chew up a Clif Block every 20-30 mins during the run itself.

Likewise..you will want to focus on the two early meals. Light and tummy friendly is the rule of the day. I would look to a nice breakfast and a late lunch. I think we hit the restaurant in Italy for lunch last year and had a lite pasta meal. Dinner should be lite, if you have anything at all.

Last year I had a smallish breakfast at the Boardwalk Bakery before Epcot opened and then walked around the F&W festival grabbing different samples around 1-2:30. It worked for me but I only went that route because it was a quick weekend trip and was going to be the only day I spent in the parks.

If I was going to be down there longer I would have done a Tusker House for the earliest possible lunch on race day.
