VWL- what view is best?

A water view is just a request. So you may or may not get that. Most of the resort is a woods view, a few rooms have a slight view of the lake and the pool.

Thanks. Is one preferable to another? I'm personally fond of the woods, so I personally would prefer looking at the woods to a swimming pool. Do any of the views give a view of the castle or fireworks?

the villas are on the opposite side of the Magic Kingdom, so no castle view. Most of the views are woods so your chances are good to get that. The view of the lake would be looking through the trees to the lake.

There really is very little variety in the quality of views as VWL -- basically, it's all pretty! :)

I've just returned from VWL. Had a lovely room facing woods with a partial lake view (3561-studio- think rooms ending in odd numbers may all have woods or pool view but not 100% sure)! Was very peaceful and even though we requested a pool view - we loved the woods view. Some of the pool view rooms even appeared to have trees surrounding them so I don't think it would make much difference. You'll love it!

We were at VWL in December and had #3511(I think) and it had a great view of the pool and the lake. We watched the EWP from our balcony every night and, of course as anyone who has stayed there can tell you, you can hear the music from EWP from all over the resort(it is very loud). The room was very peaceful and we LOVE the Lodge!!!!

As a previous poster said, the water view is just a request. However, if you check-in early you are more likely to get your request. We requested a pool/water view and we got it. We had to wait for our room to be ready, but it was well worth it! You can always pack your suits in a separate bag and enjoy the pool or take out the boats, have lunch at WCC or RF, or just walk around and enjoy the atmosphere of the Lodge while waiting for your room.

Have a great time and enjoy!!!
