VWL still available....

We just returned last night, DW will be posting a trip report soon I'm sure.

However, while talking to a guide at MGM, she mentioned that there are some new contracts still available at VWL. She didn't know why, speculated that some people may have some how switched to BCV at the last minute??

Thought it was worth sharing...our trip was awesome, but DW is much more gifted at details so I will wait for her to post the report...

The postion we have been hearing, and was printed in the Vacation Magic, is that contracts are available for add-on ONLY, not new members.

Can you confirm this ? or are you saying that New members can buy in too ?

It was worded to us as "master contracts". We didn't inquire further then to ask why there were contracts available after it was "sold out" and the answer was because things happen (financing falls through, people change their mind and do a different resort,etc).

Interesting.........you would think they would want to clear out that inventory by pushing it a little.

I was told this was the reason I was able to purchase 150 points in the beginning of March 2002.

My contract was backdated to a use year beginning August 2001, and since I wasn't planning on another trip until January 2003, they bought back my first years worth of points at $10 per point. I thought I got a pretty good deal.
