We're gearing up for our first stay at VWL in a 1BR. I'm looking for suggestions on best room locations. I've already requested an upper level but other than that I have no idea what to ask for. Anyone have room view pics they want to share? Do all rooms have full balconies? In pictures it looks like some of the master bedrooms have a window instead of a slider? Also, what's the parking situation? Is the lot close to the villas (like at BC) or do we have to hike to the lobby (think GF)? THANKS:)

It's a very small resort. Most of the views are views of the trees. A few have aview of the lake through the trees (but you will still see mainly trees). A few have a view of the pool, with trees behind it.

The parking lot is in front of the WL, so it is more like AKL if you have stayed there. In fact, WL and AKL are very similar since they were designed by the same architect. The bus pickup is right next to the villas.

Some of the villas only have a balcony off the living room and not off the master bedroom.

We have never stayed at AKL, we are creatures of habit and this (our 7th trip in 6 years) will be the first that we have not stayed at an Epcot resort! Are there any "woods view" rooms that are better than others? I'd like to have a cool view, large (double) balcony, away from elevators, upper floor. Does it sound like I'm being too picky if I give that info to CRS? Is there anything or any area of the resort that I should request not to have? What has been your fav room there?

We never make any requests and usually get something that works for us. Cool view and VWL does not equate.

For parking, you pretty much have to park opposite WL, walk up to the WL lobby and walk over to the VWL. There is a covered walkway that connects them.

its just not that large of a resort and its not known for view - there are various configurations of balcony/windows and some cases the room layouts. Its not really a resort that lends itself to worrying about locations or views.

Couldn't have said it better.

We were in a 1 bedroom. 5533 actually had a GREAT view of the higher fireworks from MK, and you could hear the music from the show. We overlooked trees and could see some of the WL pool.
