I'm back from a wonderful week at the World and thought I would post my room report. This was a NS studio room at the end of the hall on the 4th floor. I do mean end, there was only one room to the right of us. I really liked this location though, it was very quiet and peaceful. Since DH and I slept in most mornings until 9-10am, that was nice::yes::
I had requested upper floor and NS when reserving the room.
The room was in excellent condition, clean as a whistle with no signs of any wear on anything. All supplies were plentiful ( plates, knives and forks, etc). We recived a notice in the room on day 5 of our stay, that mainteince might be in our room from time to time as they are starting to install the high speed internet:hyper:

Our view was a filtered view of the lake (in summer it would not be visible at all. We could see bits of the ELP at night and hear the music quite well.
No dumpster view at all!
I'd stay in this room again in a heartbeat!

Sounds awesome!

We arrive at VWL this saturday and I can't wait:Pinkbounc :bounce:

In the past, we have never requested anything beyond non-smoking, non-handicapped (we are thrilled to be there regardless). They have granted that each time and we've always been on the first floor.

This time I decided to see if we could get a room on an "upper floor". We'll see if it happens.

I CAN NOT WAIT to walk down that covered walkway toward the villas and hear that "swish" of the door as it opens....

AHHHHHHHH................
::yes::

Thanks for the report!

This made me think of our last trip to VWL. DH checked in one day after I did (due to business concerns, he arrived a day later). He told me that when he walked through the doors, all he could do was smile! Unfortunately, no trip in the making for us as of now. We are letting DD use our points for her honeymoon.:bride: :groom:

THanks for the room report. Glad to hear that everything was ship-shape when you checked in!! :)

And that "filtered view" threw me off for a second until I figured out that you meant that the trees were blocking your view of the lake. Yes, we've been in a similar room, and it does certainly give you the feeling that you are up in the Northwest, doesn't it?

I think it's interesting that the Wilderness Lodge area is the only area at WDW I can think of that has no palm trees, in order to maintain the theming! :)

:D Glad you had a good time too, CaliforniaDreaming, even if it was a little too quiet for you! I own at BWV also, and will be staying there for a week in May! Sometimes I like to be in the middle of the action :hyper:
But this trip was for relaxing and it really was....gotta love the laid back VWL for that!

Sorry for making you wonder, Granny! Glad you figured out my
meaning ::yes::

Dizneeluvr, have a great trip!!!!:hyper:

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge this October and just fell in love with the place and the theme. We ended up becoming DVC members at SSR, but certainly plan on a trip to VWL someday.

Wow - with the temperatures hitting close to 0 almost nightly, I sit back and think of Wilderness Lodge often these days! Glad you had a nice trip - how lucky!!!!
