I have been wondering about your VWL leg of the trip. sounds like it was all just wonderful. Can't wait to go home and SSR. I am very interested in this and may try to convince DH that it would be a better idea than to get a second timeshare from Marriott or someplace else.
I Have always wanted to try the parasailing. the prices seem comparable to ohter places and w/ the 10% discount that will be nice. Is it the same rate for children? Are the hours restricted to daylight? I would think so, but it would be awesome to have that view at night. How far could you see up there in the wind, flying around like-(pick one) Peter Pan, Mary Poppins or Tinker Bell?
Hi, nezy. The models of SSR looked absolutely beautiful! If there is any way that I thought we could use more points at WDW, this is where I would add-on.
I don't know about children's rates for parasailing, but there was not a special rate posted at the window. Perhaps doing a tandem with the kids is the way to go?
I am guessing that it is daylight only. It really is an art form to drive the boat. There must be a lot going through the captain's thought process. On top of keeping you safe and afloat, he had many small boats to dodge ect...
I should mention that there is a sign on the boat that says "tips are greatly appreciated". I kind of expected this, and I flipped the Captain $20 for a tandem. My MIL flipped the first mate $5 for a single (I assume they split tips), and the other folks on the boat did not give any.
We had a good view of almost all of WDW. Of course, it depends on your altitude, but I could clearly see Epcot, and even downtown Orlando in the distance.
I think MOST here would have fun doing this, but it is not for everybody.
