The maps I have found of WL seem to be little help. I was wondering if there is a particular area or studio that I should request for our vacation in December, if some are better than others. Thanks!

Don't request a specific room. You will end up disappointed becuase the odds of that room being available when you check in are slim.

We always request (usually get about 50% of the time) a "quiet pool" view room. There aren't that many with this view but in our opinion, it is the best.

If you have to choose just one: near the elevators! Unless you don't mind a walk that is oh, about 3-4 city blocks down one hallway! :teeth:

Most of the VWL studios are about the same. I don't think you can really go wrong at VWL since it's such a small building. The hallways are long... but, Alexander, don't scare angey! No way are they 3-4 city blocks long. That's a more fit description for BWV. :p

There is a "dumpster view" at the end of the building on the side facing the parking lot, but I think the upside to the studios at the end are that they're extra big... more floorspace than usual since it's the end.

Hope you have a good stay!

Oh, it was kinda scaring me! I was thinking "Oh man, walking from the boat to the beginning of the villas seems to be a long walk in the first place!" :teeth:
Believe me, the less we have to walk after a long day, the better!

As you can see, most of the VWL rooms views (red roof) are of the woods!

This picture was taken before the hurricanes knocked a bunch of the trees down, but it's still valid so you can see that you will most likely be looking at trees.

Of course, this fits perfectly with the theming of the resort, and makes it a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

Two years ago our room was the very last room in that "small" building. It was a very long walk down that hallway! I'm not kidding, that hallway went on forever after a long day in the parks or when you were wet coming from the swimming pool :goodvibes! I noticed last week however, that the A/C was not quite as cold when entering the building as it had been in the past. I still highly recommend that you request a room near the elevator. That is a long walk, especially if you have little ones that are too big for a stroller!
