vwl, parking, & friends

Hi all - we'll be at VWL in October and friends are going with us. We will be arriving in two cars, maybe together, maybe not.

I'm I correct in thinking that their names need to be on the reservation so that the guard at the gate will let them thru. The other times we have stayed there, they always check our name on a list the first time thru the gates.

And will they be able to get a parking permit for the length of our stay?

Be sure to put their name on the reservation as well as they will need to check in at the guard booth when they first arrive. As far as parking - I am not sure if they would limit you to 1 car per room but I would think with the Magical Express, parking an additional car shouldn't be a problem.

I have had several trips where we have had 2 cars and had no problem getting the second permit.

Most timeshare limit primary parking to one car per unit. DVC has never done this and I don't believe there's a formal limit. As noted, add their names and they should be fine with all but free valet parking.

Thanks for the info, one and all. I'll be sure to call and confirm that they are on the reservation. I don't remember the CM asking when I made the reservation.

There has in the past been lots of places to park at VWL. some of it is waaaaaaaaaaay out there, but I don't think we'll be going many places in the cars and if we do, we'll go together and just take one.
