I was thinking of changing our 6night VWL stay to BCV so we could use SAB. Been reading about the crowds and now Im not sure.
If we stay at VWL we could pool hop to Contemp, Poly, etc (DVC members)
Will it in fact be easier to use these pools than to use SAB midday?
what waterpark/pool is most like SAB?

We were at SAB last August-PACKED! unless you went early in the morning.

We all ended up at the quiet pools at BC.

Poly pool is great!

I was at SAB almost every day for a week in early August and the crowds weren't bad. I heard from the CMs that much of the SAB traffic depends on the convention traffic and what meetings and conferences are scheduled.

Well...it all depends on your idea of easier lol. Packing up to pool hop and having to physically go to another resort to use another pool is just as much a hassle as maybe having to find an available pool chair at SAB. If you don't mind the having to travel (even the easier proximity to CR or Poly from WL still involves bringing all your stuff and traveling) than it really isn't much of an issue. We like to pool hop just for the change of scenery and different things available at the other pools (of course this was all before OKW just added the pool slide though). We've been to SAB in the hottest point of summer and never found it to be that much of a problem but maybe we weren't there during a conventioned as someone just mentioned.

So as I say, easy kind of depends on your view of which is more of a hassle. Of course if you go with BCV's for SAB, you can always still hop to any of the other resorts pools (except for AKL) and still have SAB too....BWV's is within walking distance if SAB is too crowded. Just a thought.

Best of luck with deciding:wave:

Oh, forgot, while SAB is like a mini-water park. It still does not compare to TL or BB. It has 1 large waterslide and another smaller slide for the younger kids at the back of the pirate ship and then a small lazy river. But no real comparison to the big waterparks. The sandbottom pool with the sinking sands is really cool in itself though.

If you want a comparison of the 2 actual waterparks though, BB is bigger I'd say with much less shade..while TL is a tad smaller but much more shade IMO. Both are wonderful WP's though and have their own theming. If you'll have passes that allow you to both your entire stay it's definetly worth checking both out;)

WL has gotten so crowded due to FW folks coming over to swim, that we were given wristbands last March. Obviously this Dec. it wasn't an issue, but unless we got there by noon, we had to use the VWL quiet pool to get a lounge chair - it was ridiculous. I've stayed @ YC/BC many times & always at least found a chair, even if it wasn't in my first choice of location. SAB is so much larger & more spread out with more to do at the pool: lazy river, slides, sinking sand, whirlpool, etc... However, I love the laid back atmosphere of the WL pool & the lovely view of the lake in the background. It's a hard choice. pirate:
