A couple of weeks ago I saw a post about a room at the VWL that was loud. I believe it was due to a dumpster or delivery of towels. If anyone knows the room in question PLEASE let me know so I know to avoid it when we go in a few weeks.

Also, I am FedExing a package there. How far ahead of time do I need to send it and what do I need to put on the label.

Thanks

Can't help you with the loud room.

If you ship something down make sure you put the proper address and your name witht the word guest in front of it. Also put your check-in date.

Way at the far end of the Villas is a linens-and-trash processing station of some sort. The rooms at the very end of the hallway can see (and evidently hear) this "dumpster" and it's related activities. I believe the rooms on any floor that end in 58 and 60 are the ones that can see this area. You may also hear noise from the odd-numbered rooms near here (57/59).

Hope that helps. When the clerk shows you on the map where your room is, if it's the last one at the far end of the wing, say "No way!" :)

We were there last August and had a room right off the area where you can look down to the lobby or up (does that make sense?). Anyway, we heard a lot of kids yelling and running, etc. When we stayed there a few years previous, we were more near the end of a long hall and heard NOTHING. We even commented in it. That was in 2001 before we were DVC members...

I don't think that is what you recently read but just another thought.

Good luck!
Annette

The dumpster view room we had was extremely quiet. WE never heard anything. It was at the very end of the hall on the 3rd floor (dedicated studio) and was actually a little bigger than other studios we have stayed in. I would stay in it again.

The only room at VWL that I would want to be moved from would be 4533 (if used as a studio) because it has no balcony. 4533 is a lock-off.
