VWL Litho

I just got a copy of the VWL litho. This has become my favorite resort for solo trips. Does anyone else think this is not a great rendering. Maybe I am too focused on the front entrance but I thought the litho was a let down.

I'd like to comment but I never got a copy of it when we purchased.

The BCV one is nice!

That's funny - we just got another one with our papers to sign for our added on points and I was thinking the same thing. I think there are much better views they could have used.

Sandy, I haven't seen the litho. We own at VWL and never got one. I would really like to have one to add to my bathroom. I bought some framed prints of the WL at the mercantile back in May. I repainted my bathroom (mountain sage) and hung my WL prints up. I think it looks great. There were probably 6 different prints. I had to narrow it down to 2. Anyway, I would love to see what the litho looks like if anybody has a photo of one. Then I'll be glad to give you my opinion!

July 2001, all we got was an ugly tote bag! I would have even settled for the better looking backpack, but oh well!

I wasn't able to find a VWL litho, so I borrowed my friend's litho and took it to staples and ran it through the color copier myself. For $2- you can't tell the difference between the real one and the copy

Since it was the top of the VWL that we first saw when they were being built, it fits the bill for us. We looked over the trees and I said to DH that it was a darn shame that we weren't rich because it would be so nice to purchase a Disney timeshare.

LOL! DW and I had that exact same conversation during our 2000 trip to WL!!! Fortunately, by 2001 we had it figured out!!

BTW, we got the tote bag too. DW loves it, but it is probably one of the cheaper gifts they've given out over the years. But hey, we got that nifty plastic license plate too!

Granny, I forgot, I did get the licence plate too!

Granny, I think it was 1999 when we were there and saw the building going up, it wasn't until 2003 that we bought. We also got the backpack, DH says we have got to use it, but it seems that neither of us is a backpacking person.

Did everyone get the same print? We got ours in 2001, and I suppose it isn't the most insiring depiction of VWL I've ever seen.

Actually, I like the canvas tote bag we got from our BWV purchase much better. It's more functional. We bring it with us on every trip to stuff full of...stuff... when we got to a water park.

I got a briefcase of sorts when I joined in June 2001, definately uninspiring!!! I just added 150 points at BWV and received the backpack and BWV litho, now those are NICE!!!

We bought at VWL in July/August 2001. We only received a canvas brief bag (not the greatest freebie ever). When we added on in 2002, we got a VWL litho. I kept reading about people framing their lithos and proudly displaying them and wasn't sure I liked the VWL one enough to do that. I've read about many items people have received over the years (pins, backpacks, tote bags, etc....) and always felt like our guide must overlook us or something. But, when it comes down to it - I love my DVC and if I never got a thing I would be perfectly happy being an owner.

I bought VWL in Feb 2001 and got a canvas bag and plastic license plate frame. When I added on BCV, I got a litho. So of course, I had to purchase one at the Mercantile!!

I agree that the VWL litho is not very complimentary of the resort. VWL is one of my favorite resorts, but the lito just doesn't do it justice.

The BCV litho we got when we bought there is much better. I've seen the BWV litho and it's nice. I have not seen the HH or VB litho, but would like to see/own the VB one since we own some points there as well.

At least not at any of the shops I looked in at the DVC resorts in July. I did see several ones for sale at each location, but not the same.

This morning there were no bids yet and the starting bid was a reasonable $9.99. I have been watching to see what they go for.
