Back in the day, we used to walk the paved trail from WL to FW to eat breakfast at Trails End. Often we would see deer along the way and a rabbit or two. Miss that walkway.

What a great breakfast it was! Ken waited on us often, he was a staple there.

We never got to experience Discovery Island or Adventurers Club either. Heard so many great stories about AC



Maybe LL will bring in another TE vibe eatery that once was.
I’m not sure if the campers supported TE enough to keep it going and maybe that’s the reason it went QS
I sure miss those hot cross sticky buns

3 more days until our return to Boulder Ridge, VWL groupies! I am so excited, especially because my sister's family will finally get to experience this fantastic resort!!

It’s always great when you can bring someone to VWL for the first time. I have yet to bring anyone who failed to enjoy it completely.

We'll be at AKL Kidani a week from today. We have a 1BR savanna view just like we enjoyed last year. Then, we mostly sat on the balcony and watched animals while imbibing our favorite drinks and eating our favorite snacks. Yes, we did get out to a few restaurants, too. This year? Same thing! We do have a trek scheduled at AK itself next Tuesday; beyond that and a few dinner reservations, we aren't straying far from our room. And, we'll drop by our beloved Lodge, as well.

Yesterday I was able to change from CC to a studio in VWL! Plus each night was one point less than the studio in CC. How wonderful is that!?

Forgive me if asked already but the new name change policy has me totally confused (Disney in general sometimes totally confuses me. Ha)

Question: If someone wants to try for a BWV (old name....meaning cheaper points...don't care the view) 11 or 7 months, is there now NO way to do that?
I called at the correct time with BWV points (transferred from my girlfriend) and the cheaper room wasn't even offered or even mentioned that they were all taken etc. etc. I did get the 2 rooms for a week each but the category is Resort at the higher rate.

I'm totally confused how anyone (even BWV owners) could even possibly get the "don't care where the room
is cheaper points"????? There's no way to differentiate the word 'standard' at the lesser price?

What am I not understanding? Has the cheap standard points not offered at all anymore?
I really feel sorry for those who bought BWV points literally to only get standard views. (not me)

If you waited to call to reserve a standard studio at BWV (clarifying you actually mean Boardwalk), you were already too late.

As far as I know all studios have a tub. I find the studios bathroom very cramped at Boulder Ridge and the tub now has a rail for the sliding door on top of it, so is even a bit higher to step into. I am pretty fit and didn’t enjoy climbing into and out of the tub on our recent stay.

Thanks for saying about the tub step being higher as I have a leg that doesn't cooperate as I age (especially doing far too many daily steps) so I will remember that.
