VWL December 2008 - Who Will Be There?

We didn't go into the parks after Christmas Eve and very much enjoyed driving out of WDW on 12/27 going the way that NO ONE else was going!

Am now thinking about 12/27/09 - 1/2/10. That would take 310 points for a 2-br.

DW doesn't like crowds though and I don't like them either. Any tips on surviving during this timeframe? (This post also serves as a bump. )

We did Christmas Week 2006 with Tour Guide Mike information and we were very successful. TGM costs about 20 bucks, and IMO totally worth every penny! I know people have differing opinions about TGM, but it really worked for us. Never waited longer than 20 mins. for anything. Even rocked MK from rope drop til closing on Christmas Eve!

We've stayed in the lodge several times and love it. We got concierge last Christmas at the last minute! This is our first DVC Christmas.

There is still a lot of time left, so hopefully it will come through. My DH keeps telling me that when I see our airline tickets are $653 each! We usually pay around $200. There is still time left....there is still time left. I don't want to drive.

Tell me about flights, DH said maybe we would try to stay a few extra days if we fly (like 17 days isn't enough, for us it isn't) anyhow I looked at flights and I might as well count that out. We normally drive and drive straight through so they thought of flying and staying longer was nice.
Your concierge stay was at the lodge right? How was that?

We changed resorts at the 7 month window, forgot to update with new dates. We are staying at OKW for the first part of our trip, 1st Dec - 4th Dec. Still staying at the VWL from the 7th Dec onwards though

Arrive VWL on the 7th. Depart VWL when? I only had you at VWL from the first to the fourth.

My best friend has never been to WL, let alone at Christmas time. So, I want to make sure that I am looking at his reaction when he walks into the lobby.

And my father in law was checked out and he is healthy. He's been cleared for takeoff, so to speak.

We're definitely getting down there! It's 88 days, 22 hours for us at this time.

My best friend has never been to WL, let alone at Christmas time. So, I want to make sure that I am looking at his reaction when he walks into the lobby.

I'm the same way! I'm lucky I don't fall entering the lobby because I'm staring sidewise at my friends so I don't miss "THE LOOK"! I also watch them as we drive up and our beloved lodge is first seen.
