VWL Construction

Hi all,

We are going to WDW in June. Our home is VWL or Boulder Creek now. Anyone have a clue about the exterior construction. How far along will they be in June? We are hoping to stay at our home resort and use the new pool.

The new pool has been announced as "summer 2017." I would not expect it to be early summer, based on present progress and the past precedent of the Poly pool. If the quiet pool is really important to you, I don't think VWL will have one by June.

Still building the boulder pool and pool area between VWL and WL, building the new restaurant and the water front cabins. Converting WL rooms into DVC rooms.

This picture was taken 8 days ago. As you can see, the pool is pretty far along. The question about when it opens is probably more due to other construction in the area (cabins, buildings, landscape "boulders", etc. I wouldn't count on it being open by June of 2017.

We are here right now and it is anything but relaxing. There is NOISE EVERYWHERE outside of the villas. This was to be a limited park vacay and there were not many options at the seven month mark. I wanted to relax by the pool yesterday and even over there, there was a constant noise of hammering nails . UGH. Either let your points expire or put up with the chaos.

Yes! Zero need to let your points expire if you don't want to stay at a resort with construction.

We will eat at Artist Point tonight. We want to at least experience the Lodge since everything else seems ruined, at least for now.

Thanks for noting what I was getting at as all my trips are at Christmas time. There was nil at the seven month mark. I was not suggesting people let their points expire.....just me
