We are DVC member of BLT and my in-laws at SSR. We are planning a family trip for 4/2010 and we are trying to decide which resort we should stay at VWL, BWL or BCV? We will be staying at BLT in Oct and my in-laws what to try somewhere different then there home resort. We could have up to 6 adults and 3 (6, 3 and 2)kids. We want to stay in a 2 BR villa but we're not sure where. From all the posts I've read these resorts are all about the same as far as pool, food, location and transportation. Any thought which one is better and why?

Are you more of a MK family (then try VWL) or an EPCOT/DHS familly (then BCV/BWV may have better proximity.) I believe all 3 resorts have outstanding qualities. Also think about the restaurants you'd like to dine at..

Many enjoy the pool(s) at BCV better. The children are probably too young to enjoy the coaster/clown pool slide at BWV, but really your best shot at availability would be BWV preferred view. BCV and WVL are the smallest DVC resorts.

FWIW, BLT 2BRs' (and AKV Kidani) have 3 bathrooms, all other 2BR's only have 2 full baths. BLT, AKV, and THV will have beds for nine (vs 8 everyewhere else, although you also get a pack-n-play) SSR will also have treehouses (THV) by then.

I believe there are a few dedicated 2BR's at BCV that have 2 queens (instead of queen and sofa), but would not get my hope set on one.

You can't really go wrong. We love them all. However, no, all pools are not created equal. Storm Along Bay at the BC is the best pool on property. The BW is second, and the WL has the weakest pool, IMHO. However I do think the WLV has the best quiet pool on property.

I think the WLV have the quietest feel about the place, which can be a nice break at WDW. BCV and BWV have the better location. The BWV are closest to evening fun if you trade off babysitting but want to be close.

We have stayed at the BCV and the VWL. My 8yr DD loves the BCV and I love the WVL.

The Beach Club has an awesome pool and whenever it rained during our stay, cast members were doing activities with the kids. We rented a car while we were there, so I cannot say if the busses were good or bad.

I like the VWL becasue they are close two the MK. You can take a bus, a boat or a boat to the contemp and then the monorail. Of course, you can also get to EPCOT from the monorail as well.

Since you have small kids, I would suggest the VWL. Less travel time.

The boardwalk view will wow the in-laws. IF they are like my inlaws though, they will say it was noisy outside. (I'm not saying its noisy outside either.)

I would go for...

1) Boardwalk Boardwalk View
2) Beach Club
3) Wilderness Lodge

Beach Club has great restaurants, and a good location. I really believe the transportation at WL can be awful at times. For me though, that Boardwalk view always wins hands down.
