Hi everyone!

My family and I are staying at The Villas at Wilderness Lodge in 50 days. We have a 1-bedroom booked for 5 days, and we will be going to MK for 2 days.

I have a DD (8), DS (6), and DD (3). It will be my 3 y.o. first time at MK and my DS first time that he will remember.

Does anyone have any tips on making this trip extra special? Special building/room requests? MK tips? Tips for activities on the other days?

TIA!

I will start you out make sure you get your DS and DD to Down town disney they will love lego land and maybe you could even get DD to BBB! I know your DD would love that!!!

and a half a day at the resort pool with the slide and the current on the one side of the pool!!! but watch out the current is a little strong!

you can also rent water craft from WL

there are so many things my head is spinning!!!:goodvibes

What do you mean by "current":scared1: ? That sounds dangerous. Is there a "lazy river" type thing?

The other ideas do sound good.

Does anyone else have insider tips or memories of things they did with their family either at VWL or MK?

The boat ride from WL to MK is great - very relaxing way to travel. And you can see the fireworks at night from WL.

Oh! That will be really great for us! My youngest loves to ride on boats. Do the boats travel early enough for EMH?

Can you see the fireworks from the balconies of certain rooms or buildings, or do you have to get to a certain area of the resort to view them? Or can you see them from almost anyplace?

the boats should run all day for transportation to MK so you could use it to get to MK for the opening!

not sure about the balconies?

I think the best viewing for fireworks is near the lake, so the trees aren't in the way. But we could see them pretty well from the parking lot one night!

Our 1 BR was on the driveway side so there was no way we could see the fireworks from our balcony. I was a little concerned about the bus noise on that side, but it was not a problem. The balcony was a nice place to sit while our kids napped. No they are not toddlers -- they are teens! But they were on vacation and wanted to nap.

You will be very happy with your villa. The extra space is so nice. We were only at VWL 4 nights but we made good use of the washer & dryer and the refrigerator.
