vrbo -- no reviews for this rental, would you go for it?

I find some rentals on vrbo have reviews and some don't...we are looking at one in particular that has many dates rented out on the calendar but there are no actual reviews from previous travellers.

Would this be a red flag??

I suppose they may use another advertising site to put all their guest reviews on rather than just the homeaway network. Why not ask them and see what you find out.

I've rented off of VRBO several times and have never rented one that had any reviews. I don't think that it's necessarily a problem.

If you post which vrbo reference it is, then you'll probably find that someone will have stayed there and give you a review.

Don't take having no reviews as a negative.
