How is it? My little sister is a huge little Mermaid fan and we already plan on doing the ride/meet and greet at Magic Kingdom, but after seeing a video clip of the show and reading reviews I'm not sure if this show is worth it? It looked a little dark to me I just don't want her to be disappointed :/ We're already doing plenty of shows throughout our trip I just threw this one in because Ariel is her favorite but now I'm having second thoughts. She won't know either way. Thanks for the opinions!

Are you referring to the show at HS? It's outdated and just bad, in my opinion.

For a fan of Ariel and The Little Mermaid it will be great. If you have never done it before I say try it and form your own opinion. We missed some things for a long time that we really enjoy now because some people said that they were not worth doing. Now we try everything and decide what we like. Different strokes, you know.

It's a good show. Any little mermaid fan will like it. And it's only about 15 min long. So it's not like you're wrapping up a huge amount of time

Okay great we will keep it then :) Is it standing room or sitting? I couldn't tell by the video but I noticed it wasn't a very long show. Would it be a good fastpass choice?

Are you talking about the show at DHS?

Personally I thought it was pretty bad and I like Little Mermaid. I mean they did three songs (Under the sea, Part of your world, Unfortunate Souls) and did some scrim puppetry and showed some cells from the movie and that was it. Not even a Kiss the Girl nod. It was like here's some singing and then a bunch of photo stills and short animation for the entire rest of the story. I thought it was a big waste of a long wait time.

On the other hand I like Journey of the Little Mermaid at MK and it gets only mediocre reviews.

(On the other hand Beauty and the Beast at DHS was wonderful and is a much better show and worth a wait, I would even use a FP for it if I needed a third to fill in my day, not only would I not waste a FP on VotLM, I will not stand in line to do it).

There are seats for everyone. I don't think it's a great FP choice, but your options are limited in DHS anyway.

We enjoy it, but I'm like your sister....a huge Little Mermaid Fan. That being said, it's a little outdated as mentioned previously I think it's worth doing at least once. :D

Thanks everyone! Maybe it will be one of those things we do if we pass it and have the extra time but won't go out of our way to see.

i've seen it enough that its become a take it or leave it situation but as long as it works into the schedule i do it.
the little mermaid has been one of my all time favorite movies since it came out and i love all the songs so to me its worth doing.
its dark because its in a theater with the lights off for the special light effects.
its certainly not "too dark" though.
if i were in your situation i'd make it a point to see it.
and HS has lost a number of attractions in recent years so its not like there's no time to fit it in as long as you plan on staying in the park the majority of the day.

It's pretty terrible, but may be worth doing once for the puppet-filled Under the Sea number. The theater is relatively comfortable, so worst-case scenario, you squeeze a nap into your day.

My 4 year old daughter made us do it twice in the same day last Sept. She loved it. I can take it or leave it. Depends on the person.

As a huge LM fan, I say it's worth it! However, we always have trouble timing it right. We always seem to just miss a show and don't want to wait for the next one. If timing is right though, definitely stop in!

Go. Try it. If you don't like it, you'll know not to do it again. If you like it, then you can do it again.

If you are going to be in DHS anyway, I would say it's a must for a Little Mermaid fan. I just referred your question to my daughter (a red-haired die-hard Little Mermaid fan, who is now 13), and she grinned and said, "YES!"

I think it's a cute show. It's not mind-blowing or anything, but it's cute. We've only done it once. Once was enough for us, but I'm glad we saw it. I will say it's not worth a special trip to DHS, but if you're there anyway, I don't see any reason NOT to do it. There's not a heck of a lot else to do in DHS .... (not my favorite park).

Edited to say: I would not use a FP for it, as it's pretty easy to get in to.
