Has anyone done this or have any imput.
We are planning our first cruise for April 2004. Our ten year anniversary is this Sept.
We are doing the cruise as our gift to each other. We are just traveling with our Daughter age 6.
I didn't know if it would be anticlimatic with just the three of us, and not having friends or family there.

I understand it's 1000 to do in addtion to the cruise, do you think it is worth it>?
Thanks

I just read someone else's experince and it sounded awful. I would really love to do this I am hoping someone else has either had a great experinence or know of someone who did.
Thanks

(Hope this link works. If not, it's currently on page 15 as I write this).

I have also been looking into this for my wife and I and we are almost sure that we will not do this. We figured it's $1,000 for the 30-45 minute ceremony and a few hundred more for pictures. Although it would be nice to do an official vow renewal officiated by the captain, I think we can make better use of this money for other things since we're on a tight budget. We are currently thinking of doing our own special vow renewal by ourselves at some romantic spot on the ship.

Hi, amtmommy. I am going to be renewing my vows on my cruise this December. It will be only myself-35, my DH- also 35, and my DS-12 on our cruise. IMHO(in my honest opinion), it really shouldn't matter if it's just you three(like myself) or if you have family along. All that matters is that you and your husband and daughter have a great time and enjoy yourselves. I have also toilled with the situation and I believe I made the right choice. When we cruise, we will be celebrating our 17th anniversary.

When my husband and I got married, we didn't have the money to go all out. We got married at the JP's office. Both of our families were there. But, I felt deep down that I wished that I could have done it the right way. Now, 17 yrs. later, we have the means to do it. I already have my gown and veil, I get it fitted in October. Both my DH and DS are going to be in tuxes and my DS is going to walk his mom down the asile and be our best man.
From what I have heard from other threads, they had a great experience and are glad and agree that it was well worth it!!!
Don't let anyone discourage you in your decision, if you want to do it, you will knowif it is right or not. Good luck!!

Hi Tibbles98

I will be sailing on December 27, 2003 also. I was interested in renewing my vows also. Do you know if anyone booked this package besides you. I read that they only do 2 vow renewals per cruise.
