I have a questions, I have been looking for several hours and I have decided to renew our vows in 2011. :rotfl:
Here is my problem. Our orginal wedding date is in Oct, but when I was planning my wedding 22 yrs ago, I didn't think down the road. I had no idea it would take 9 yrs to have our first and only child. Well long story short, we can't have our renewal in Oct b/c our DD will only be 15 and will have to stay in school. So we have decided if we need to have our VR in the Summer of 2011. I guess my question is does the original date matter when you are renewing? I am just wondering as we will have to get a renewal licences and was not sure it would matter.

No license is required for a vow renewal, and the only reason Disney might ask to see your original marriage license is to confirm that you're not trying to have a wedding without a license (and I've never heard of them actually asking to see it - maybe some of the people who have had a vow renewal at Disney will come along and share).

So even if Disney does see your original license, they don't care when you were actually married. It sounds like lots of people choose a different date for their renewal - either because of vacation time, like you, or because they want a certain day of the week, or because they have another date that is significant to them. :thumbsup2

My hubby and I are going to Las Vegas April 17th and renewing our vows on the 18th. Our Anniversary is December 23rd, SAo that date is out :)

we are doing our 10th Vow Renewal on DCL in December, but our anniversary is in April. We are sailing in Dec because of the holiday decorations.....and it's cheaper. :rotfl: Date was not important.

Yeah we were married in june and renewed in sept. DFTW really didn't care when we first got married, they barely even cared about me sending them our original certificate.

DH and I were married July 21, 1997. We are renewing our vows Nov. 9, 2009. It will be our 12 year wedding anniversary year and 15 years together as a couple. There was no way I was going to be in a wedding dress in July in Florida!;) Nov. is our favorite time to go so that's the month we are going with. So far DFTW have not asked to see our marriage license.
