Yes, I know another question. I have read all the info and are ready to buy some, but Mother and Hubby have told me that they are too good to be true.

I am asking you guys if they are worth it or not (or I guess if they are real). I know that they are more valuable at some restaurants rather than others (like Beaches and Cream, which is a place I want to use them at).

My Mom's theory is that she has been going to Disney for years and never heard of them so they must not exist.

I have read reviews from you guys that say they are well worth it and have had no problems.

Help!! How do I prove that they are authentic? I was thinking about signing up at the Hotwire website and using them to purchase these vouchers.

Is there someone at Disney that I can call to confirm that they are valid so I can put my mother's mind at rest? TIA

Yes they exist and you can get more than your money's worth especially ordering the most expensive things at certain restaurants. You would at least break even most of the time.
I have some for my upcoming trip and I am figuring that on average it will save me about $2.00 per voucher. This way I can let my kids order dessert without it breaking the food budget apart.

They are valid....as far as too good to be true, only if you think you are going to save a ton of $ with them. Average is $2.00-$4.00 unless you use them at select places as mentioned. You can use them to prepay meals and a lot of people like to do that. We normally don't get dessert and so it's a treat to do that now and then.

I just called WDW DINE and they knew nothing about them.. They said that Disney had no "deal" with these vouchers. Is there someone else I need to talk to or what? I HATE to spend $50 on something that can't be used. I guess I am now paranoid!

Yep...I think the paranoia has set in !! LOL!!! I wouldn't worry about the vouchers. Countless DISers have used them, Mary at Mousesavers.com has a section about them, etc. I feel confident in ordering them, though I have never used them myself. Won't it be nice to show your Mom and Dh that they don't know everything about WDW. Have no fear.

I would definately plan ahead...as to where you will use them (you mentioned B&C) and when - to order exactly how many that you will need. Have a great time!

People staying off site, to the all stars, to the GF main lodge concierge have used vouchers; they can't all be wrong! I doubt disney dine would know about them since they technically don't take money for your order unless it is for a hold on one of the important restaurants. They are a great deal - if you do your homework! Read the vouchers thread, then go check out the menus and see what works for your family. If you dont have vouchers it isn't the end of the world, but if you do, you might find yourself branching out and trying different places and not only getting a great deal, but having a wonderful time, too! (btw... we've usually split our meals using the vouchers since we don't like to eat all that much at once in the hot Florida heat)

These vouchers are the same as the ones given to groups for their meals. We have used them with groups and were glad to find them on Hotwire.com. Can't wait we have prepaid our meals for a week. Can't wait to save all that money. We have planned our meals well. We should save at least 2-4 on each certificate. Also remember that most meals are big enough to share.

I am just back and used them all over the place. We always saved $1 or $2 and several times we saved $8 or more! They are great in Moroco at EPCOT and at Beaches and Cream, but we also did well at Mara (AKL) and Everything Pop (Pop Century). I took lots of notes and will post more in a few days.

I'm at Disney right now and have been using them. We are staying at CSR and using them at Pepper Market. We can get an $18 entree, plus a drink, plus a dessert, plus tax &gratuity--all for the price of a voucher. My husband and I split meals because the servings are huge, so we really have saved a lot of money with the vouchers. I'll definitely order them again for our next trip!
