The voucher that comes with the Disney package is what I am speaking of in thread header.
Do you use it as is or do you exchange it for a ticket?

youll go to the ticket window and have ID for everyone you can possibly have id for and exchange it for the actual ticket...

ticket window where?? and do you do the same with the mini golf vouchers

The ticket window at Disney Quest. They have a window outside the entrance where you'd redeem the vouchers and/or purchase admission if you didn't have the vouchers.

In my experience with the Disney Quest vouchers, we went to the window and turned in our vouchers and we were granted admission. I don't recall being handed an actual ticket, but we may have been.

Take the voucher(s) to the windows next to the entrance of Disney Quest. They require ID to match the resort reservation name. You will then receive an RFID enabled ticket (looks like a credit card) in exchange for each voucher which you can use to obtain entrance to Disney Quest at the main entrance. (See photo - ticket windows to the side of the main entrance, the main entrance is under the Disney Quest lettering)

For mini golf vouchers, you just give the cast member your voucher instead of paying at the cash register. No fancy exchange required.

Thank You one and all. I feel quite clear on it now. I was just afraid we would get to quest and have needed to exchange it to a hard ticket at resort or something thanks again.:worship:

Can I ask if you or anyone else knows if you have to use the ticket that was exchanged from the voucher the same day? We are doing a split stay and I noticed the voucher says valid only for the dates that the resort package is booked for.:headache: I was hoping to use it the day after we check out and are in our new WDW resort. Just wondering how flexible they are with it.

Do you guys think Disney Quest would be worth it for a 4.5 year old? Is there a lot that she could do there?

IMHO, no. If you have the vouchers you really have nothing to lose though, but I wouldn't pay. We're two adults and found it was primarily video games so it would appeal to kids (mainly boys) who are of the video game age - maybe 10+ or so? It certainly didn't appeal to us. We did go on a few of the "rides" they have and I don't suspect a 5 year old girl would enjoy or appreciate those either.

I took my 8 yo son there in December using the 2 vouchers from our package. We took our vouchers to the window and were given 2 RFID tickets. We used these to scan at the entrance ( like your MB or tickets at the park entrances). As for DQ, it was a disappointment. DS really liked the learn to draw a disney character but the rest of the place was either too busy and he couldn't get on a video game he liked or not of interest. I was glad I did not take my 5 yo son-- he would have been bored. We stayed around 3 hrs and I would not pay to go back until there is a major overhaul and update. I couldn't believe that there was a display with VHS and DVDs for the ride videos-- seems a great place to use the magic band to link a digital ride video for PP or MM. I had to explain to my son what a VHS tape was Lol! Also it was pretty dingy and needed some repairs ( rugs ripped on stairwell, for example). I hope with all the investment in DTD they make some upgrades. The arcades at the resort were much nicer IMHO.

We went on a Tuesday in October of 2013 and we had the run of the place. There might have been ten other people in the entire building. It was great.

We were there during Christmas so maybe that was part of the issue. There weren't a ton of people but the games that my son wanted to play were in use or didn't work. I'm not sure if there is a time limit per person? DS didn't want to the simulator rides, which had waits of 15-20 mins most of the evening. Compared to a peak 120 min wait for SDMT the day before it was definitely not crowded lol!

Weekends will be busier at DQ than week days, and if it's raining, you can expect DQ to be busier as well.

Are Disney Quest vouchers included in all 2015 packages? We decided not to buy the Water Parks & More tickets this year. We just did Park Hoppers. My son would be SO EXCITED if we got vouchers to go to DQ once during our trip!
