Oh woe is me. I'm just wondering which is your favorite moderate resort. I'm booked for POR but I'm anxious to see what is the cream of the crop of the mods. Please post why the resort your voted for is your favorite. Thanks. :wave2:

CBR is my favorite- I love the theme, gorgeous landscaping, big food court and CBR has the largest rooms of all the moderates.

Coronado Springs - for the pool. It has the best slide of all the mods.
A must for my DS.

Just about everything else is the same at all mods - bathroom, closets, 2 double beds, doors which lead to the outside, mini refigerators (new for WDW), lighting, small table, 2 chairs, 4 draw dresser, bring your own hangers for the closet, 1 phone, wake-up calls, 1 TV, 1 window, Bus service to the Parks, walk to any where from your room to any where in the resort is 10 mins or less.....

So the water slide at the pool wins CSR for our family.

Another CSR lover here. We love the Dig Site and I just love the peace and quiet of this resort.

The theming can't be beat in my opinion.

But I would stay at any of the mods. in a heartbeat.

Until we stayed at AKL, CSR was our fave, regardless of category.

I have stayed at all of them, and they are all wonderful. You can't go wrong. I love trying all of the resorts....they each offer something a little different. Have fun!
:)

I voted for POR but honestly I haven't stayed at any other resort. We love POR so much though I don't know if we could bring ourselves to try another resort. The restaurant is great, Bob Jackson the piano man is wonderful, there are a bunch of pools you can use (including legally pool hopping to POFQ), there's pier fishing, boat rentals, bike rentals, surrey rentals, and of course the boat to DTD. We also love the laid back peaceful feel there after a busy day at the parks.

POFQ, definetly! Theming, pool, PEACE & QUIET! Size, quick walk to food court from any room. Boat ride to DTD, especially nice in the evening, just as sun is setting. It is just so beautiful. We have visited CSR a couple of times and stayed at POR and CBR (for 10 days) and they are nice too, but POFQ is our favorite, plus it is newly remodeled. I really like the seclusion of the hot tub there, too. We thought CBR was too spread out. we were exhausted after a full day at the parks, but still wanted to refill our mugs one more time before bed, so we dragged our tired selves down to the food court and then back across that stinky Parrott Cay to our room in Jamaica. They have hammocks on the beaches there though, and DH & I took a nap on a hammock one afternoon. That was cool.

My vote is for CSR !! Best pool, Pepper Market is great for breakfast and the largest rooms in the moderate catagory. :earboy2:

POFQ without a doubt, theming is great and everything is within easy walking distance of your room :)

That is tough for me. I say CBR, but I do like the POR almost as much. I go solo a lot and I find CBR is better for solo's. But, POR was my first solo adventure, and I dearly loved the boat to DTD.

My DW and I have done all 4, and I think they are all great. Since we now go without kids, keep that in mind when you read what I've written.

Starting from our "least favorite" (but it's still a "B+"):

CBR- Wonderful theming. Food area is only OK. Rooms in some areas are a long trek from the main building.

CSR- Absolutely gorgeous grounds...the lake and lighted buildings at night just transport us. Large but manageable size. Food court is interesting and different, but not to our specific tastes. The best place to stay during the winter months (makes us feel like we're in Mexico), but terribly hot in summer (little shade)

PORS- Again, amazing theming...attention to detail is jaw-dropping. A little too spread out. Food court and restaurant are the very best among the moderates. Boat to Downtown Disney and Carriage Rides are great bonuses.

(First place by a hair) POFQ- Just so beautiful, and the newly-renovated rooms are great. Access to PORS is a huge plus, as is the boat to DTD. We LOVE the compactness of the place...no bad room locations. Food court is mediocre, but another one is only 10-15 minutes away.

See you at the POFQ in July!

It seems as though PORFQ is the smallest but among the other 3 which would be the easiest to manuever with small children? :wave2:

I really love CSR, especially the food court area: but the resort is just too big.

My favourite is POFQ: this resort has everything you need, plus Riverside is just next door and you can use that resort's facilities as well.
But POFQ is small enough that you can walk back and forth to the food area, pool area two or three times in the evening and not feel worn out.
Plus you have the horse carriage, the boat to DTD, and a very short walk to the buses every morning.
