Was wondering what island holds more peoples liking. No right or wrong answer.

I've only been to Castaway, but the sheer fact that the family beach is separate from the adult beach by more than just a line in the sand on Castaway, it has the edge for me. We'll see how the new cabanas affect that though.

I've only been to CC as well, so I won't vote. We took a 3/4 comped trip to Vegas this past September/October. I really didn't expect to enjoy the place that well cause we don't gamble. But I'm not turning down an almost free vacation for a week. Me, hubby and 20-year-old daughter ended up having a blast!! Would love to go back, but it would have to be comped again. 😆

I didn't vote either - just saying what currently puts Castaway ahead. I just haven't had the chance to go to Lookout yet - it's not that I don't want to go.

Not sure what Vegas has to do with this?

I voted CC -been to both. Lookout only once. I liked the real waves at Lookout but the adult only eating area was too small. Plus you have that pier walk and tram ride just to get to the developed area.

Do wish they would improve the food at CC though.

Voted LC. Been to CC many, many times. LC twice. We prefer LC - the beach and ocean are superior for us. Plus you can walk on the beach - which we love. And the rocky area at the other end of the beach is fantastic. Can’t wait to go to LC next month - we get to go two more times.

For now I have to say CC...it is my favorite place on earth (except the food has gone way downhill in the past year).

With that said, LC seems great too however due to unusual circumstances, my 2 visits there have not been normal beach days. And once we didn't make it due to a hurricane, and another time it got removed from our itinerary before sailing. So in 4 attempts at a normal day there, it hasn't happened yet. We will be trying again at the end of this month so hopefully I will have a better comparison then.

Haven’t been to either… but Castaway Cay might be the one I’d lean towards if I were to sail on Disney in the future. The adult beaches look truly secluded… not like the one at Lookout Cay.

Sorry, what I meant was the fact I think I said that on another thread that I was going to keep a more open mind on LC. I was thinking of my closed mind concept with Vegas. I apologize, I should have made that clear.

I love both, but LC is an aesthetically better beach with amazing sand, so I’m going to give the edge to Mother Nature and vote LC.

Been to both multiple times. Castaway gets my vote for it's more secluded and quiet adult beach.

Holding my vote until I have one my visit to LC under my belt-I was there last April, going this March. Been to CC many times. Beautiful there (LC), but our day? So windy, no umbrellas, no shade. Couldn't snorkel-which I was really looking forward to. I give the edge to the food on LC. Time will tell

Castaway Cay. (Have had 4 visits here). Overall experience, nature, & establish vegetation. Serenity Bay Beach & those adult cabanas are the best. The new Mickey & Minnie cove family cabanas by the newly built Hanger 98 are decorated really good & look so much more fun than the Pelican ones. (was just there Saturday December 6th). Cabana 24 (adult Serenity)

Lookout Cay only like so far for the family cabana area just across the bridge. (Only one visit there so far, so just a first impression feeling (had family cabana 15, September 8th). Vegetation just getting established.

So, my older son is not a beach person. We felt that Lookout Cay is much better for people who are not fans of the beach. We also loved the decor and the fact that they feature local artisans. We bought several souvenirs from the couple who are featured in the documentary about it.

As a caveat, though, I have a mobility disability, so we were able to take the golf cart at Lookout Cay.

Right now, Castaway. Five to ten years from now, Lookout will be so much better. Once the foliage grows in, once the last bugs get worked out, Lookout will be amazing.

CC is my vote.

Went LC this past September, the water was choppy that day, so I did not experience the crystal clear water. I can see why folks like the long beach etc.

Spent all my time in adult area. I like Serenity Bay better. Just my 3 cents.

I just did not like the layout of LC, too long of a walk and tram ride. Maybe in 10 years, like someone else said.

Castaway has that tropical island feel.

We just went on the Treasure and stopped at both, 2 adults with a 13- and 10-year-old. I did not think I would like LC, but we all liked it more. The food was better (no lines for food at all), the water play area was fun for the 10-year-old, and with tween/teen kids the water actually having waves was a huge hit. I can see the pier being pretty awful in the summer but on an 80-degree day in November it wasn't hot or long feeling.
