This will be a detailed answer as I love the voodoo donuts. There are two main types of donuts they make, Cake and raised yeast. The raised yeast are what is similar to the donuts that you get at Dunkin, what they are made of is where the similarities end. One Voodoo raised yeast, like the Grape Ape, is the size of three DD maple rings. The filling is not your mass produced jelly like with DD, it tends to be small batch made in store. So the raspberry filling has real raspberries in it, seeds and all.
The second main type of donut is the cake, these are denser and more filling than the raised yeast. DD makes this type in plain and glazed, my local one sell out of them pretty quickly though. Again what the donut is made out of is where the similarity ends, Voodoos are about the size of two DD cake donuts. I did not try any of these donuts so I dont know how they taste.
Not all of the donuts have filling, but the Voodoo doll has the raspberry, there is a Universal cream that is orange creamsicle flavored, and a mango jelly as well think this one is called Mango tango.
Overall I love the Voodoo Donuts way more than Dunkin Donuts, I grew up in the northeast so my first donut ever was a dunkin. The line is better in the morning than afternoon/evening. Voodoo is a must stop for me in City Walk.
