Von's - have to go in person to sign up?!

I tried to sign up online today for von's, and kept getting problems. When I called, the person helping me said I have to go in person to a Von's store and obtain a club card! There are none here, and no Safeways either.

So, those of you who have signed up, did you have a club card already? I am so bummed! We were hoping to use this service for our trip.

You just register online... but put the hotel address as your address... I have a safeway here and a clubcard, but I don't know the number offhand, and I am sure I never put it in for DL!

B/c I recall it saying that discounts are automatic with or withut club card on line. I would try again with another customer service person., something is not quite right there.

The first thing the website asks for to register is a club card number or a phone number. I am planning on using the hotel's address, but I thought I should put in our cell number

also, when you call customer service, it asks for your club number or phone number - there is no option for "other."

I think I'll try with the hotel's number; then call again if I have to.

eta: I think I fixed it - I was registering on the main site. When I clicked on the delivery icon, I was able to register from there with no problems, and the information was completely different. I probably should have realized that, but still don't know why the customer service person couldn't help me. Oh, well! Thanks everybody!
