Von's delivery to DLH

Actually, as of today, the window is only open until 11/18. If you're within that time frame you can schedule the delivery.

Thanks Lucille. Any word on how to register an address? We live in Arkansas (there are no Von's here), so do we just use the hotel address as our "home" address?

I just looked into my account and had my address listed as the hotel address. We're in Chicago, no Von's here either.

I also want to add that even when you start to make your order early, be sure to go through it again just before the trip to tweak it to get the best values for that week's sales.

Thanks! That is really good information. Do you have any advice for what to buy? For example, my initial thought was that we were just going to buy breakfast foods and maybe a few snacks to take to and from the park. (We're staying in a studio villa, so we really won't have a dining room table or anything to make eating full meals in the room a very good option).

I'm a little anxious about making a shopping list because I definitely don't want to overdo it. Wouldn't be the first time I bought a bunch of food for a hotel that we never ended up eating.

Since I opened up my Von's account to look at the other info I started thinking about what to cook for our upcoming trip. We will be in a studio also, but last time we had a 1 bedroom.

I'm just brainstorming but I'm thinking some a pork loin, sausages and hot dogs to cook on the grills, canned soup to microwave, eggs to scramble and microwave, english muffins to eat with the eggs, lots of fresh fruit, chips salsa, cheese, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, a ton of fresh fruit, soda water, beer, champagne, coffee, juice boxes, mustard, sugar, etc.

I'm definitely looking for more ideas.

Forgot about the grills! Are they gas? Hot dogs is a great idea!

The grills are gas and I believe the hotel has grill tools to borrow too.

I forgot to add milk to the list, last year we went through 4 gallons in a week. My husband and son are milk fiends.

On a previous trip we also ordered a cheap-o foam cooler and used it as an additional refrigerator.

That's a bit more hard core cooking than we are willing to do. Hot dogs are a good idea though for a quick lunch back in the room! We'll definitely do that. I'm thinking bread for PBJ or toast, cereal, milk, coffee, bottled water, crackers and cheese, grapes, apples, bananas, maybe some granola bars... Not sure what else. We will only be there for about 4 full days.
