If you look up UK 14 Day tickets you will find a couple ticket resellers like Undercover Tourist but based in the UK/Europe. Anyone can buy the passes and attach to their Disney account.

Its a way at cutting the cost somewhat. There is a couple threads on here about it.

We usually buy the UK tickets for our trips (as Canadians...you don't need to be a resident of the UK to purchase the tickets), and get them through https://www.attractiontickets.com/en. There are other sites that sell them as well; they give you park hopping, water parks, and memory maker, which is a great value. You can often find sales on the tickets too.
