Vonage users - I have a question

We switched over to Vonage several weeks ago and overall I am pleased with it (especially the lower bill) but we are having some problems with it. We sometimes have a bad connection and/or an echo and I believe that it is due to the fact that we have the wireless router in the same room as our cordless phone base (which has to be hooked up to the computer)

Has anyone else had this same problem? How can overcome this? Vonage says to move them farther apart but how am I supposed to do that?

We sometimes have an echo, but it's really no different than using our cell phones. The delay does take some getting use to, but overall we love it.
 
DS has it and says the echo is the worst when he is using the phone and computer at the sametime. Don't know if that helps or not.
 
My laptop is on all the time when I'm home so maybe I'll just have to put up with the echo :confused3
