Vomiting in the parks?! :(

I saw someone vomit in the fountain in front of SSE. NOT the Fountain of Nations, the smaller fountain closer to the entrance. It was SOOOO gross to see. He was just walking, sat on the side, leaned over, puked A LOT...then just got up and kept walking. I'm thinking maybe the World Showcase drinks had soemthing to do with it. Especially because his friends just kept on walking and he just caught back up. It was all in a matter of a few seconds but I couldn't get the image out of my mind for the rest of the night.

yep- It was in like for KR....It was a rootbeer shake...I knew the guy who had the protein spill...so We knew what it was!

we've seen tell tales signs of a 'protein spill' at the Mission Space ride and our barf bags were suspiciously missing from our seats in the spinning one.

I doubt it would register much if I saw someone puking. Unless they needed help or whatnot. I'm the type of person who just deals with those kinds of things and can move on with my day after a good hand wash.

Oh wow, i'm so jealous.
My heart starts racing and i start shaking when i think someone might puke.

It's nice to know that I am not the only person who has a fear of people throwing up in general.

I am always paranoid on the bus to and from the hotel. I am always looking around at everyone.

the only time I saw someone get sick while leaving Blizzard Bearch. A young girl kept throwing up. Her parents were trying to help her as much as possible.

thanks to my mom, who carries a plastic bag all with her all the time, she was able to give the girl a bag for the ride back to the hotel. I now carry a plastic bag everywhere, especially on vacation and now having a child myself.

That sounds JUST like me!
I always look around at other people on the bus to and from the hotel, and drive my family crazy asking if they people around us look like they're feeling sick.
And I agree with you, it feels nice to not feel alone.
I used to think I was the only one with this kind of fear, it's nice to know that there are others tooo

we were at MVMCP, had a prime front row seat for the parade and DS and DD fell asleep. well me, dh and grandmas decided to take them home and left. as we were walking to the bus i was carrying DD and she felt super hot, we were getting on the bus as DD woke up and said i don't feel good. we sat down and she started throwing up in my hands. thank goodness it had been colder and i had on gloves. no one on the bus even noticed. i was trying to get the rest of our parties attention to get a bag or some tissues.
could have been awful...but it didn't cause problems for anyone and dd felt fine the next day.

When Mission Space opened I wanted DH to ride it one time first and let me know if he thought I could handle it because I get motion sickness. While he got in line I went across from the exit to sit and wait for him to come out.

OMG! I wasn't sitting there one minute before a poor elderly man came out the exit and upchucked right in front of me.... A couple minutes later, another person, then another, and ugh, I couldn't stand to watch anymore and had to move.

So I went down and around the corner a little bit, but that just meant that the people who were feeling very "green" made it down there before having to sit down and moan.

When DH finally came out I felt sick, and he said that he didn't think I should do that ride. I told him "No *kidding*(this word has been changed ) Sherlock"!

FYI - do not sit or stand by the MS exit unless you have a strong stomach!

I have seen someone off to the side of a walkway / planter area throw up, yes...not close enough to a rr or trashcan, either. Yuck.

Once when I was 5. Daddy and I had our special day alone (he wasn't too bright on the whole kid thing back then.... he has learned ) He loaded me up on hot dogs, cotton candy, cokes... whatever the princess wanted she got... and THEN he got the niffty idea we should go on the tea cups and spin ourselves dizzy

Because of this ONE time... i have NEVER been on the tea cups again I watch my DH and kids from the sidelines. I will do Mission space but not the tea cups. I still worry that the poor guy who had to clean up my mess still works there and remembers me

Oh and it wasn't a cute little princess throw up... they had to shut down the ride for a good while

Hey I was 5 and it was my dumb daddy's fault ... we still laugh about it to this day! He has gotten wiser in his old age and refuses to EVER buy kids junk food in ANY theme park

We were in line for our very first ride of the trip, Soarin at Epcot, when a boy in front of us puked. He was on a leash, crying, and being ignored. After he hurled, his mom was determined to stay in line. They wouldn't leave. A CM had to come and escort them off after someone reported the mess.

I later saw them leaving the park. The kid was still on the leash and still crying. Poor lil guy.

Thought of another time I saw someone vomit. We were eating dinner at Boatwright's and I happened to look up and the 11 yo boy at the table across from us lost his cookies all over the table. I did not want to tell my family because then their meal would have been ruined as mine was. I had to fight my own queasiness for the rest of my meal!


Still, nothing compares to the mental damage done when one sees someone vomit into a drinking fountain. Now, we have to be on the verge of dehydration before we give into drinking from a fountain. (It didn't help that about a month after that we saw a man from a different culture washing his hair and cleaning out his nose in a local drinking fountain!)

I'm also terrified of others puking.

If I think there is a chance I might puke, I immediately have a panic attack. It is the most awful feeling...nausea and a panic attack at the same time.

Just reading all of this makes me feel queezy and anxious.

I am glad to know that I am not alone.

I saw the ultimate in Karma at a carnival once. On the ride that goes around and around and goes sideways upward pushing you aginst the back to keep you from falling out. Somebody blew it while at the top and came around at just the right speed and it hit him dead on, face and all. Now that's bad Karma!

A few years ago at the TTC we were taking pictures under the Monorail signs and just seconds after we walked away someone who was standing next to me threw up. The funny thing is that person happen to be in the picture and everytime I see it I always remember what happened.

Test Track. We didn't actually witness it, just the aftermath a few seconds later. I'm a pre-k teacher so thankfully that stuff doesn't bother me, but I know plenty of people with the same phobia. Hypnosis is a wonderful tool to use if you haven't. I used it for childbirth and had no medication, and my daughter was born in a very serene and peaceful way. My mom also used it to quit smoking.

It was on the way to the MK and something just did not seem right...He was very quiet and that is so not like him

We were on the bus to Mk from POP Century, so I am sorry to anyone who had to witness that.

I did not have any type of bag with me to try and catch some of it, other than my backpack,which he got some on.

He drenched my dh's shirt and just a drop on my shorts. Of course, he drenched his clothes as well(at least he had a change of clothes)

I wanted to say Thank you to the nice lady who gave us her empty coffee cup to help catch what we could




P.S....It was so bad, that as we were getting off, (since he could not take us back to Pop, said he had to go pick up people from other resort , this was before he realized what had happened on his bus ), I heard him on the radio.say HIS BUS WAS OUT OF COMMISSION NOW...PROTEIN SPILL

Yup, it was me! Many years ago I threw up on my older brother while riding the tea cups. I don't usually have a problem with motion sickness but circles do me in. I can't watch the Carousel go around either.

Dh and I were walking along and he stepped in something. We were so grossed out because it was obvious it was puke. I was kinda poking fun at him when a castmember said, "Um, your child is throwing up". OH MY! We didn't even realize that our daughter who had been asleep in the stroller for the last 2 hours was now hanging her head out of the stroller and hurling. She continued to do it all the way to the car. Poor thing!!

Now, want to hear the gross thing?? My Dh took her to the bath room to finish (or so we thought) puking. While the CM was off getting the cleaning supplies I stood by the puke warning people not to step in it. About 4-5 CM came over, one poured that powder stuff on it. I figured I was off duty so I went to sit on a bench by the bathrooms with my other daughter. I watched the CM's just stand around chatting and laughing. They watched people walk right through it and push their strollers through it!!

I have the fear too! If I think someone is feeling sick, my heart starts to race and the panic attacks come on. I once heard someone throwing up in a bathroom in MK and I couldn't get out of there fast enough!

I have a horrible fear of getting a stomach bug, I am leaving for WDW Monday, last Tuesday one of my employees came in and said she needed to go home early b/c her son was home puking and she needed to take the afternoon shift so her DH could go into work, I was like, go NOW! We aren't busy your DS needs you, go! run! go Now! I didn't even want her coming in my office, and she wasn't even sick. I always travel with Pepto and Imoduim I am so afraid of having any issues on a plane. I thought it was just me, now I see we could start a support group.

I know I have posted this story before but it is my favorite, so forgive me!

One of my fondest Disney memories is when I was 16 years old and my step monster (step-mother) ate a burrito at Cantina de San Angel in Epcot. We then park hopped over to MK. She had never riden Space Mountain before and was apprehensive. My sister and I told her it was really a tame ride and that she had nothing to worry about. So we all rode it, and then when we were walking back down Main Street she got sick and barfed! My sister and I thought it was so hillarious!! We just laughed and ran away from her!!
This probably sounds mean, but you don't know my step-monster. If you did, you'd understand!

Yes, 2006 my older son and husband was going to ride Test Track and I was taking my 5 yr old to ride the boat ride in Mexico... As soon as we got to the top of the steps my son said I do not feel good so we turned around to go to the bathroom and he threw up. The horrible part was we were on the top step so you can imagine how it rolled down the other steps...As a side note my son was crying hysterically because he had "snot" so I ran across to the Cantina to get a napkin for his nose to calm him down so I could get him to the bathroom to wash up and change his clothes before we got on the bus and as I got back to him and woman walked up to my son and said... Did your mom leave you? Granted I hate vomit as much as the next person, but not enough to leave my child. In addition, my husband has never again questioned my wisdom to take a backpack and a change of clothes for the kids again.
