I like to spend most of my summers volunteering and this summer I decided to get a couple of hours done with the HandsOn Network. My question is would I be able to get FP (my guess is no) or the volunteer pin? I think that would be really neat.

Registration is closed for Give A Day, so unless you registered before the program was closed, you would not be eligible for the GAD vouchers.
The CMs at Will Call do give out a Thanks for Volunteering button with the Muppets on it. I've not heard of anyone getting one without a voucher, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I don't know if Hands On sends out e-mails to confirm service, and I don't know that it would make any difference at Disney since they are not accepting any new registrations. I'm not sure the system is set up to handle anything but GAD voucher redemption. I think you would just need a really nice CM who wanted to give some pixie dust. The CMs might be prohibited from giving the buttons without a voucher, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
I hope you are able to get a Muppets button when you go - they are really cute and the CMs thank people for their service when they see someone wearing one.
