I was have never rented a private cabana anywhere but was thinking about doing it for Volcano Bay. If I have a group of 9 but it only holds 6 would that be a problem? I don't see all 9 of us ever being there all at once since the kids will be all over the place and its only 4 adults. Do you think I will have an issue?

Regardless of whether or not you think your whole party will be in there at the same time, they likely will not let you book it for more than 6 people. At least that's how it is for Aquatica. But it is hard to say for sure since this is all new. The only way you will know for sure is to call.

One of the first questions they ask you is how many are in your party/how many are you reserving for. At least, that's how it went for me. I think if you tell them you're only 6, and then 9 show up, there will be a problem. Since the park isn't open yet, it's difficult to know their exact system, but I do know that you have to report to the cabana concierge to get shown where to go. I'm sure they'll have some sort of system in place to prevent confusion as to who is allowed in the cabana itself.

I just called to reserve the Premium Seats and the lady on the phone asked if I wanted to reserved 1 or 2 pairs, we have 4 in our party. I only reserved one pair. Not the same, but I think it's just going to be so crazy that they probably won't really care. We are going opening weekend.

I called for a quote, 7 of us, they said you need the family cabana that holds 16. I said no I don't, I want the 6 person one because the kids will never be inside the thing. The TM would not quote me on the single cabana. So.. I waited a few days called back, said party of 4. Person on the phone stated they thought they would use the Tapu-Tapu for security purposes.

I decided it wasn't worth it once I was told there was no outdoor seating in the cabanas, plus I did not want to risk part of us getting in, which meant some of us would be left out in the park with the kids all day fighting for a chair.

My experience with Aquatica is that you can't even go into the cabana area without a wristband. Maybe Tapu Tapu is going to serve that purpose.
