Couldn't you still do it, just with limited faces?

It would be a shame to do all that work for it just to go away

I actually found a solution, apparently the VMK faces are just solid colors but because of jpg compression, they appear a bit multi-colored. Project's back up and it'll be done (completely) by early or mid august .
