Each time I switch teams in Pirates of the Game Lobby, I lose 21 credits and that's more than 1 round of nedding!

Watch out for this potential scam! Leave the game first like a pay to play game then rejoin so you don't lose credits!

What?

:sad2:

not only are you losing 21 credits you are also causing the opposing team to lose credits!

Switching teams and switching games has never cost me anything. 21 credits go, 21 credits come back. I just tried it. 2088. 2067. 2088. 2067. 2088. 2067. The only time I lose credits is if I quit after being sent into the game.

Hmm all I did was click join on the other pirate team and I didn't get any refund.

I thought he meant after entering a game, because he said he lost the credits.

My bad. Credits are not removed from your total until after the game has started.

They should be taken away after the game has ended. I just started a game of Ship Battle Level 2 and am still on the "waiting for players to enter" screen....Some people get dc and crashes during their game.

If it works as I've understood it in the past (never really tested it) then the credits are not deducted until the "owner" clicks start game. So you should not get any refund because nothing was ever taken away. They won't give a pop up saying they're returning your 21 credits, just the one notifying you of the cost to play. It's merely to reduce the number of ppl quitting mid game just bc they're not winning.

Well. I Always Look At My Credits Screen. And Once it didn't get my credits at all. I always used to think it was eating my credits. Why do we have to pay to play? I think for a dumb reason. the credits they gather(21 per player) That is the credit they give out. Were are not losing any , its just like they are holding it for us and gives it to us back ONLY if we win our game.
You don't

Gl in your future pirates game ~QUARTZ~

PS: Try to find me in VMK. Im there everday. ( Look for me in the pirates lobby)

Well I've noticed the number of people quitting as soon as they see they're losing has lowered since they started charging. Some people still quit, but it doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to. I remember a day when there was a new quest out and it seemed like people would quit every other game I was in, it was ridiculous!

Once I made a game of potc and i kept switching, I dont think it steals your credits when you switch.

I wonder what the signifigance of the number 21 is anyway why not charge 20 credits? I haven't noticed a change in credits from switching sides either.:hippie:

I think it has to do with 7 credits for each round (there are 3). You'll notice that each ship has 7 credits when a round starts. I believe we have determined that you only lose the credits after a game has started.

but what if there is only 2 rounds? huh?

When you join a game of pirates the 21 credits is deducted only AFTER the game has been started. If you leave BEFORE the game starts or switch sides, nothing is being taken out of your credit total.

Once the game begins, your 21 credits are subtracted. If you decide to quit the game anytime after the start, yes, you lose the 21 credits for quitting. Best to stay in the game and hopefully at least come out even at the end! ;)

At one point in time, people quitting in the middle of a pirates game as soon as they felt they were losing was so bad it was a huge gripe with many players. The small charge to play pirates was their attempt to fix this issue. :)

It only takes credits after you start the game, as LoriR has clarified above; however, what IS messed up about pirates is:

If you join a game, start the game (subtract 21 credits), play through the entire game, win the game, win a key, and open an empty trunk...
You lose 21 credits. :(
