VMK sold it's mind on Ebay

yea i totally agree with everyone here. Vmk is being nice enough to give ppl free tours and free virutal cards to go have fun. Not for nothing, the game is free itself. I dont think its right for other people to make money of the game by selling the cards and items inside the game.

Also, people on ebay are selling a lot of things i would want in vmk like gold ears and crows nest hat.But I wouldnt want to spend my money on something that doesnt have rl cash value.

These are easy to obtain without spending cash. All you have to do is trade in VMK. Post on the trades and wishes board here. You may have to give up something virtual to trade for your crows nest hat, but it won't be real cash. You'll be trading virtual pixels, for pixels.

no i did not make a mistake it was $600.000

I did not say you made a mistake, but the SELLER did - forgetting the period when posting the item, especially seeing that the sasme guy had previously sold space room codes for $6, not $600

and the ebay fees that go with it would have cost him about $45 just to start that auction

The best i could find was a 27 card pack with 7 DLR cards starting at $1.14

I am amazed reading this topic. Never thought I would see it like this... Looked at most ebay links here (and had fun doing so)

Although I do like a game of VMK, I guess I will never have special stuff (unless the card I got from buying a pin in WDW as special, but I guess there a lot of them anyway). But paying up to 200 for a code... No way, I'll save that for a Disney Theme Park visit.

and next time I go? I'll get the cards and sell them on ebay for $100.... Make your reservations now :teeth:
Only Goofing around :lmao:

Can someone plz tell me what nedding is?.

Nedding is when you play the Jungle Cruise game, but as soon as you hop on the boat, you back up a little, then slam into the dock over and over until you run out of gas and get your 20 credits. It can be a fast way to get credits.

I tracked that auction, and it went unsold. Noone bought it.

I really wish that the VMK staff was doing something about these. This is really just another way to rip people off. They can watch for this stuff and contact ebay to have them taken off and the sellers barred from ebay.

This is insane. Inferno for $300? There's not even a card or code to be sent. They have to meet in VMK to do that trade. And what if they pay their $300 only to end up not actually getting it?
It may be one thing for people to sell the actual cards, but the virtual only stuff? What a rip. And it actually makes me angry.

Exactly! I mean if people scam players out of their virtual stuff...imagine being scammed out of 300 bucks! But I always take a step back and laugh at these funny funny people! Really lightens the mood! ;)

OMG -- this is really so insane!! I cannot believe people are willing to pay that much for something virtual! I mean, let's hope not, but the game can be gone at any time. It's actually up to $305 and there are more than 4 days left! And also...if someone doesn't have enough money to get to a Disney park and enjoy Disney that way, I can see how they would want to be that involved in VMK to buy virtual stuff. But if they have that much money to spend, shouldn't they be able to afford to get to a park...?! :confused3

And I am totally against sellers selling something that you can get for free -- like the 3 magic set, and the monsters inc doors.. :furious:

OH MY Goodness! Over $300 for a magic spell on a game? That is insane.

i would not fret about the winning bidder getting the inferno. Ebay does have some safeguards in place. The winning bidder could take the person to court if they don't supply what they are selling.

i have paid a couple bucks for vmk stuff on ebay, like five bucks for a safari tent room (after i accidentally sold mine while selling off skull rock rooms). i don't see a big problem with that. In fact, if i could find a reasonably priced Haunted Mansion Room, i would buy that on ebay. (Or would trade for one here if one were available).

Hundreds for virtual stuff is beyond beyond. But, who are we to judge? There may be rich folk out there that have no problem paying the price.

i was just shocked to see this kind of money being bid. :O

That is so wrong! Don't these people actually read the VMK Values? "No buying or selling of any kind is to be affiliated with this game."

What that means is that the only way you have to pay to get something is to have to do the quests. Any other VMK Player, at any time, may not sell VMK items for real currency.

Man, I really want Inferno, but not $300 just for a picture of it! I have a bunch of friends with Inferno, so only to see it is not even close to being worth to $300!

Don't these people know you can get tracked down and banned for this?
