Going by that, technically anything could be considered not a scam since for a scam to actually occur, the victim needs to agree to whatever is taking place. For example, they are warning you about "scam rooms" on vmk's newsletter about the "games" where you have to guess the room owner's favorite "fill in the blank." Well the victim in these rooms is willingly participating, willingly paying items to keep guessing, etc. And yet VMK calls it a scam. What's the difference here? Both have bad intentions, both have people willingly participating...and yet only one is recognized as a scam? I honestly don't get it.
On another note, today I reported someone for asking to borrow my magic (and who kept pushing me for it) and I didn't receive the message shown in the OP....my message said "Thank you for reporting this to us. We will check it out." I wonder why the different message for the exact same concern?
