I've been looking at a great deal of tours of Italy and I know that I would love ABD. However, I'm trying to get a rough estimate (and I know its extremely rough) of cost for Viva Italia. I plan on calling soon but thought I'd start with you all........Thanks!!!

You can find the extact cost for the tour on their website. The only estimate you will need to make is the cost of the flight and money needed for meals that are not covered, plus any shopping you do. ;) For an airline ticket you could budget about $1,000 per person. But a lot depends on where you will be flying from. Our tickets were $1,278. But we are flying from Peoria, IL with only one lay over each way. We had looked at flying out of Chicago. But after figuring the gas and parking costs, we were only saving about $200 total. And we still had a lay over. That wasn't worth the hassle and our time. Plus, I hate flying from O'Hare. We are flying Delta, which goes through Atlanta.

Be aware that the early booking discounts are no longer available for many of the dates (everything from June through almost the end of August), so you won't be able to take advantage of that on some of the trips. Also you will need to figure in tips for the guides, and the cost of several meals which are not covered by the tour. You can get the exact numbers on the website.

Also note that if you have an annual pass, you get 10% off.

I just booked our tour a few days ago, and while I am still in shock over the price I agreed to pay (I thought I could get the early booking discount but couldn't) I am so very, very excited about the trip!

Can you combine the AP discount witht he EB discount? They usually let you do one or the other.

Thank you for sharing about the 10% off using the annual pass. I have an annual pass and did not about this discout. Is it mentioned on the ABD website?

It's one or the other...either the annual pass discount off the regular rate OR the early booking discount.

EBD's are based on allocations by trip and they must be made a t least 120 days ahead of the trip. Only a certain percentage of slots are allocated for EBD's on each tour. Once those are gone, it's back to regular rates. So you can be trying to book a trip a year from now, very "early" in your mind, and it will have no EBD"s left because that particular tour is getting full already.

Information on the Annual Pass discount can be found here on the Adventures by Disney Web site:

No, it is not mentioned on the ABD website. I only found it on Mousesavers.com, and only after someone else suggested it might be around somewhere, but it definitely exists. It doesn't work if you have an early booking discount (which I was too late to get anyway) and your annual pass does have to be activated, but it can save you quite a lot.

Also, note that it can be ANY type of annual pass, even a FL seasonal pass.
