I want to start a thread so I can post during my trip here. This trip is for my middle kids lol ( I took my oldest 2 kids (boys) last may) This trip my dd 9 and ds 6 are going and my mom is coming along.

I ordered photopass plus, bought plane tickets, park hoppers, and a bunch of disney gift cards in prep for our trip!
My kids don't remember flying we have a big family so when we all go on vacation we drive. They are so excited to fly. We leave Denver at 8am and it snowed here all day yesterday, so we are leaving here at 430am cause the roads are going to be slick. We are about an hour give or take depending on the route but DH who's driving us hates using the toll road lol So first we fly to Las Vegas and then hop onto another flight to SNA! My mom lives in Las Vegas so she will join us on the second flight! It's 210am and I just woke up and can't sleep due to excitement.

Things I'm looking forward to this trip are... Watching Aladdin
Bippity bopity boutique (Tuesday)
Cafe Orleans
Tiki room
Alice in wonderland( the line was always long last year)
Casey jr
Soaring over California ( this was going to be refurb but changed)

Last year we stayed at DLH this year we are doing PPH. We have 4 day hoppers and I can't wait to get there. Hoping to get luggage and jump in a taxi to PPH and be in the parks by 1! It snowed here a little to often in the past few months so rain sounds fine with me lol.

Well I'm not sure what else to add except that I'm so excited I'm sure I've missed a ton.

For some reason I kept getting an error and couldn't post this at home but we are at the airport now waiting for our flight. Dd got a bagel with strawberry cream cheese, ds got hot cakes and sausage from McDonalds, and I picked a peach perfection smoothie from Jamba Juice. The air port is really quiet.

So we arrived on time although I almost missed my connection because we were delayed at the gate.

We made it to PPH and had a really nice cab driver. It was 39.xx from SNA to PPH.

We checked in and our room was ready. We headed upstairs to check it out ( no magic upgrade sadly) it was only 12ish so I was surprised we could have our room already. We were super hungry so we decided to try white water snacks...yuck

I got a turkey sandwich with grapes. The bread was hard and the bottom was soggy from the grapes and condensation. My dd ordered a grilled cheese kids meal with ff they put the sandwich and fries in a bag with no wrapper or anything?? My mom ordered a burger and fries which took about 15 minutes for them to make/along with the grilled cheese. The ff for both tasted soggy and like warm. Ds got at Mickey pretzel it was delish! All in all super pricey and gross. The fountain soda was good I should add.

We headed into the park and rode pirates with a short 15 minute wait. Then we rode splash mountain because the wait was only 5 minutes it was sprinkling. We waited 5 more minutes for whinnie the pooh, then grabbed some churros. We headed to haunted mansion and waited about 10 minutes. We decided it would be a good time to try the tiki room and the wait was 5 minutes, then we went to fantasyland to ride the rides with short wait times. Carousel 5 minutes, Snow White pretty much walk on, Pinocchio 10 minutes, then we did the castle walk through. We decided our feet were tired and we took the monorail to dtd.

We walked back to PPH and changed our shoes. We decided to try tortilla joes for dinner the food was good but pricey. Then we did some shopping and stopped at Marcelenes for a treat.

We came back and put on our suit to sit in the hot tub while watching the fireworks. We could see them but the hot tub was full of bubbles like someone has put soap in it??? It was grossing us out so we got out and headed back to our room.

The kids are asleep and we plan to hot CA for EMH!

How are you enjoying PPH? We're staying there in May on the concierge level. I look forward to everyone's different reviews.

We would never stay here again. I posted a review of my experience in the regular forum you might want to read other people's responses too.

While its not horrible, it's a really long walk like really long and there just aren't the same food choices and such.

So day one we arrived and headed towards GCH to enter the park we stopped at white water snacks. It was yucky and took to much time, but we were going to Disneyland!

We walked in and decided to do splash mountain since it was sprinkling so the wait was 5 minutes. We went to pirates next 15 minute wait and whinnie the pooh only 5 minutes. Then we did the tiki room and headed to fantasy land. We rode the carousel, mr toad, Snow White, Pinocchio and then rode the monorail to dtd and walked back to the hotel. We changed our shoes and headed to dtd.

We ate dinner at tortilla joes and the balloon lady came to our table. The food was good but pricey. We went into a few shops and bought some stuff then walked back and went to the pool. We wanted to see the fireworks from the pool and the kids were dying to do the slide.

It was about 915 when we got to the pool and the slide was only open from 10-5 according to a sign on the gate bummer. We were going to get in the pool with the kids but it was colder then I thought so we headed over to the hot tub. There was another family in the hot tub and lots of bubbles in it not from the jets but like soap suds. After sitting in the hot tub for 20 minutes you couldn't see in it at all from all the suds and we were covered on them and kinda grossed out.

We saw a few fireworks but you didn't have a good view from the pool at all.

We headed back to our room and ate the tigger tails we had bought earlier and all was good again. We set our alarms for 6 am and the kids heads barely had a chance the hit the pillow before they were asleep.

Day 2 coming up

I did see your response, but I've read more responses on how people liked it. The people that don't like it I've only read a few. I hope you're enjoying your trip otherwise.

That is why I said you should read other responses. The walking distance and feeling out the bubble was most of the reason why I didn't like it. If you aren't concerned about the you might like it? It was a few hundred dollars less to stay there so I can see how that can make a big difference to some.

Day 2 we got up early and headed to California adventure. I went down stairs and grabbed some muffins and pastries the choices were very limited at the little coffee place at PPH.

Went back to the room and got the kids ready. Then we headed out a few minutes before 8. We got the bag check at 810-15 and they had just started letting people in we went to the shortest line we were like 12 people back. It didn't take long for them to come out and take our pictures. We entered and headed to RSR using wide right. There was a crazy lady behind is with a stroller she kept hitting me and my my kids and the guy next to us. When we entered she was a few people behind me and I told the cm and they stopped her.

We were on RSR so quickly! We rose RSR, maters. And luigis then we did tower of terror. Then we decided to get fast passes to ride it again at night. We got fast passes then headed to monsters. After that we needed a drink so we stopped and a diet coke and a couple juice boxes. Then we got fast passes for soarin' since they only had one side open the wait was 30 minutes. We did the bakery your which was super awesome! Then we went and got a ctton candy and headed to bugs land and did all the rides. We decided we needed to try more sourdough and we ate at the pacific wharf

The Chinese chicken salad was the best meal of my trip seriously it was so delish.

Then we rode soarin, the guy taking our fastpases was chatting with us and he was teasing my dd about going on break and saying she could fill in for him while he was gone. Then he gave us 4 fast passes for any ride except woc that didnt expire for a week. we headed to the boardwalk and did the little mermaid, silly swing, jumpin jellyfish, California screaming, and watched the go green army show thing. Then it was time to use our night fast passes for RSR.

Then we were getting hungry and wanted to try the corn dog castle so we got a few hotlink corn dogs for us And regular ones for the kids and sat down and watched the Pixar parade from a little table.

We wanted to do grr but it kept getting cold and cloudy so we skipped it. We did the little mermaid again. We headed out through the GCH and then excited into DTD.

I went into studio 365 because we saw some girls with their hair done and it was way cuter than BBB. They cancelled our appt at BBB for us and booked us a new appt there for the next day at the same time. It was a third of the price for the hair style dd picked. It was 19.95 for the take a bow. It includes the hair extensions unless you want rainbow it's 3.00 more.

We got back to our hotel and wanted ice cream but they don't have it at the gift shop or coffee shop and the ice cream vending wouldn't take a 5 so went to the gift shop again and got change. Then we took our ice cream to the room and went to bed since it was already 930.

Day 3 coming soon
