This may be the wrong forum but I was curious, we will be visiting the Vero Beach area for a day trip soon and was wondering if it is possible to visit the Disney Vero Beach Resort to check it out like you can the resorts on property or do you need to be a guest or have a reservation. BTW we are AP's but not DVC if that makes a difference.

You can visit, shop and dine at Vero Beach even if you are not staying there.
Just stop at the guard shack at the entrance. The guard will direct you to the visitor parking across highway A1A, a short walk through an understreet tunnel to get back to the resort. This is the same parking used by locals who stop at the resort to dine in the restaurant.

Yes, DS was nice enough to do that for me when he was down in Florida meeting his girlfriend's family (they live near Vero Beach and are also DVC members). He took about 40 pictures around the resort for me and bought me a sea turtle magnet.
