As I have mentioned, we are staying at the Vistana for 4 night for an amazing rate because we are going to sit through a timeshare presentation.

Can someone please tell me if I need to bring toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap & the like? We leave tomorrow! First stop Poly, then the Vistana. Disney here we come! :cloud9:

You don't have to bring anything. Everything is supplied there. We've stayed at the Vistana twice and really liked it. Have a good time! :smooth:

Why bring beach towels? you can get towels poolside.

We prefer to bring our own beach towels because
1) they're bigger
2) don't have to sign them out and back in at the Recreation Centers. Once you sign them back in, you pretty much have to walk back to your room with no towel and sometimes this means having to cross a parking lot. We just prefer to be able to wrap our towels around us and leave and not worry about signing in and out.

Bringing Beach towels:
If you have your own, you can also stake out a lounger and not have it "snaked" as my kids say if you just leave the generic towels on it. If you check out a towel and someone else "borrows" it then you've got a hassle with trying to get a new one. But the chief issue, as above, is avoiding the time of checking out the pool towels, and being able to use it as a cover up on the way back from the pool.

Can I ask what your rate is, how long you are staying and how you got the offer?

Thanks!

They sent me an invitation for 4 nights, 5 days for a total of $160.00 all I have to do is attend their presentation.

In 7 stays at Vistana as both owners and nightly rentals we have only been asked to sign towels out once - we swim every day.
From the pool we walk back to our apartment with our towels around us, take them back later and get new ones for the next day, however I understand the concept of bringing your own - bigger, nicer etc. Coming long hall for 2 weeks means luggage space is limited for us.

We take the auto train down, so we can pack our car with whatever we please :-) Makes those hard decisions about what to take not so hard, we just throw it in.

For a stay at the Vistana we also bring a nonstick skillet and saucepan, a few spices, coffee/coffee filters, corkscrew, napkins, paper plates and other things which would make life homier and we wouldn't want to buy there.

You may not need it for four nights, but we like to bring extra dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. They supply some, but not enough for running the dishwasher twice a day (big family). We also bring fabric softener sheets and coffee. I believe they give you a starter supply of coffee.
