Has anyone else received this promotion or stayed using it?

5 day 4 night stay at the Vistana Villages (got the offer by a phone call from Sheraton marketing office; not something that can be booked by calling them).

$169.00 total cost, plus $100 cash back at check-in. $13 per night resort fee is only other cost. No tour involved. (I think they hope we will take one once we get there thought.)

Have never stayed there.

Any info would be appreciated!

Anybody know about this offer? How did you get on the list? Have you stayed there before? We stayed a couple years ago and would love to have such an offer! If you do it then let us know if it was too good to be true or not!

I received a similar offer 2 weeks ago for V.V. from Sheraton in the mail. It was for 5 days/4 nights, 1 BR villa for $219.00. Plus 8,000 Starwood Preferred Guest starpoints OR a $100 gift for use at area attractions.

We can't use it right now and not sure about next year either, or I'd reserve it for then. If I reserved in 15 days, I could prepay and and have 12 months to visit OR pay $119. now and $100. upon arrival. I have no idea how I was chosen, but I have stayed here previously.

We stayed there in 2002 and really enjoyed our stay...elegantly decorated, lush landscaping, immaculate villa....I would definitely take advantage of an offer like that.

You WILL not be dissappointed, the pool is huge with waterfalls, playground, deli/store, kids activities, quiet pool, zero depth entry with those squirty things for the infants/toddlers.

Feel free to ask any questions:D

to vmkids-

Maybe we received the offer because we took a tour at the Vistana Village a few (maybe 4) years ago. I guess they have a database and pull from that. I had to pay half when I accepted the offer and the other half when I booked.

Try calling the marketing office and see what they will offer you. Never hurts to try. Even if you have to do a "tour", as long as you know how to say no and stick to that you will be okay.

Lorix2-

Is this w/i a few miles of the Vistana Village? That's the only one we have been to (on a tour).

Do you remember any of the kids activities offered?

Thanks.

ZuZugal - I'm a bit confused...is what within a few miles of the Vistana Villages? I thought we were talking about the Vistana Villages:confused:

Hmm...don't remember exactly what was offered for the kids, sorry....

I received a call from sheraton suites with an area code same as mines. They didn't leave a message b/c I wasn't here. But I have never stayed anywhere but HO JO MGE and QS, so I don't know how they got my number.

:( We have moved since last time we satyed so proably sent it to the old address! May take your advice and call them up. Never hurts to try!::yes::

Anybody that gets this deal will not be disappointed if they take it... the hotel is great!

we also got the same offer from VV. In the past we stayed there three years in a row and last year we could not get reasonable enough rates and Wyndham Palms Golf was only 75 per night for 2 bd rm so we did not use Vistana. Apparently they do go to all their data bases and we too do not have to take the tour , PLUS ours is only 219 for the 5 nights 100 back the following day. Makes it 119 for the 4 nights five days in the one bedroom.
At least I KNOW it's better than the Liki Tiki where we stayed for the same offer last year.

Does anyone know the number to the Sheraton Marketing place. Because I would like to see if I could get the deal you all are talking about. Because this deal seems to good to be true.
Thank You!

:( Tried to call the Sheraton and ask about getting on a list for mail and such. They gave us three other numbers and so on and so on but in the end nobody seemed to know how to get such an offer and no one took our address or anyhting! Guess you all that have gotten them should do the disney pixie dust dance!princess:
Wish I was one of you but I will keep looking for my own pixie dust for my trip!

If anybody gets the know how on how to get on the list please pass it along!

did u call the numbers that Sheraton gave you? And if so what did they say? And may I have the number to call?
Thank you!

These numbers are the ones they had us call but it led us no where. They all acted like they had never heard of the offer and just semed to be passing the buck.

THink I may try again and see if I can get somebody else this time. Let you know if things change.

vistana village- 407-238-5000

reservations 866-208-0004

Satrwood Preferred guest - 888-625-4988

If anybody finds a way to get the deal or get on their list I would appreciate the know how shared!

HMMMM Starwood Preferred Guest? I think I will call that one and see what it is. Might it be like the Wyndham preferred guest or the Marriott thing?? I mean if it means getting to pick your room etc then it could be worht it.

I got the same offer and the lady is calling back Monday. (I told her I had to check w/DH). I will ask for number and try to post after she calls. We are members of Starwood Preferred guest and she said that's how we were selected. A number out of Calif. comes up on my caller ID

I just asked my husband and he told me we were already members of the preferred guest "club". Guess that is how we got it too but ours was for 5 nights at 219 and we got it in Jan. I am betting as we get closer to the time the prices will get less and they do not have to let everyone know what they are doing and anger the people who paid tons of money not to buy a timeshare.

Sorry guys! I've been out of town so am finally replying.

The phone #'s I have are 800-326-3260 (Sheraton Vacations Preferred Guest Services), and also 800-662-2775 (not sure on the name for this one but one of the calls I received from Sheraton was this).

Hope this helps someone.

Since it was mentioned about the "Starwood Preferred Guest" I know that I am a Starwood "member" but have not used it for a stay in quite a while. Isn't that the thread that always comes up concerning the Swan/Dolphin?

To Lorix2, I was told that the Vistana Villages and villas are a few miles from each other? Anyone know?

Lorix2:

I now know my real question. I looked it up on the internet and the Vistana Resort and the Vistana Villages are 2 separate properties. (Not villages and villas).

Our offer is for the Villages.

Anyone who has stayed at the Villages have any comments on the property....anything from cleanliness to pools to on-site restaurants, etc.

ZuZugal - you're right..I thought that might be what you were asking but didn't want to confuse the issue...

My offer is for the Villages too.

As I wrote before, I think you would be extremely pleased with this property, I've yet to hear a bad report. The villa we stayed in (2BR) was immaculate, as was the pool area, the deli/store, the walkways, pathways, the landscaping, the lobby (gorgeous) and as you approach the lobby by car, there are beautiful waterfalls cascading into a lower pool of water. They are very elegantly decorated and comfortable. You really can't beat that offer, I'd go for it :D
