There are several Klait. It's pretty much every section except the Courts and Falls.

Okay here is what I am thinking last time I was at Vistana Village they were building right outside my room the noise was overwhelming. I figure if I am at the Courts in August and there is noise and mess I will just call management and ask for a change if they do not change me then I write to corporate. Even if some of us did get our reservation on Skyauction that is no reason that we have to listen to cranes and back hoes. If they are done by August when I am scheduled to go then all the better no harm no foul. Either way I will not obsess about it anymore. I do know that Sheraton will make good if I am unhappy one way or the other. Funny thing is, the manager of Vistana Resorts is the same person who was manager of Vistana Village when the construction mess was there. I HOPE for his sake they are done by then.

Of course I am hearing all this less than stellar info about the Courts wouldn't it be funny if in the end they turn out better than some of the other sections? And I am just figuring it is a foregone conclusion that that is where I will be housed.

Oh that is bad bad news to me. We love Vistana and had a VERY negative experience at the Villages especially in regards to how the manager handled it. Of course, the front desk would not give us his name so no way to know if this would be the same guy or not. I sure hope the customer service level at the Resort is not affected by this!

Booyaa68 most likely you will not get the courts you are not going at peak time it is one week after school vacation. However if possible could you bring back some info to the rest of us who think we are pretty sure we will get stuck there in the summer months?

Wow, so there is major reconstruction going on at Courts??? Does this mean that most of the Courts units are not currently being occupied???

We will be at Vistana in exactly two weeks!!!
I am now hoping that we will NOT get Courts, due to the renovations going on.

So, maybe this is GOOD news for us Booyaa68.

I just called the resort and they told me that the Courts are NOT being renovated. She said she believed it is the Fountains! Now I'm really confused. It sounded pretty hectic when I called, so I am going to try again later tonight and see if I can get any more information.

Ummmmm.... Fountains is nowhere near Courts!

I just got off the phone with Vistana Resort, and the lady that I talked to said that Courts was not under renovation. She said that there was/had been some painting and exterior stuff going on.... But sounded like Courts was definately not under renovation.

I am assuming that Courts is currently being occupied, and this means that there is a chance that they could try to put us there!

I have already contacted Diamond Lane, and made some requests that would definately NOT include Courts... (Thanks DISers for the info that helped here!!!)

I have my fingers crossed!

I am sooooo looking forward to our trip!

Any updates on the Courts section of the Vistana?

I keep hearing that the rumor that they've been renovated, but nothing first hand. I'm hoping some one has just returned.

Been reading little clips of this thread and just thought I would share our experience at Vistana last September. We booked through Skyauction. Our auction was for a 2 bed/2 bath (sleeps 6-8). A couple of months before our check-in date I e-mailed the Vistana directly with the information from my travel voucher and made some specific requests. I wanted a unit on the top floor (noise) in the Lakes or Cascades section with a water view if possible. As I recall I had to do a couple of back and forth e-mails with them because they don't actually have the specific information about your travel voucher as soon as you do. Eventually they gave me the nice but standard (as I have read from other's experiences on this board) "that is not the building you are booked for - but we will see what we can do". I think they have certain sections for certain check-in days and I think I read about that somewhere on this board. I was concerned also about what section I would be in. I learned that you should use the "Diamond Check-In Lane" to get faster service. That worked great. There were lots of people checking in and lots of waiting but we zipped right in to that line and got very quick and friendly service. However, they told me our room was in the Courts or Fountains section (I don't recall which). I just smiled and asked "is there anyway at all you can please get us into a unit in the Lakes section?" The lady looked at her computer and said "We have one unit left. Would you like that one?" Of course I said yes Please! It was pretty painless. They seemed to be eager to please. One thing you have to remember is they are a timeshare and they want you to enjoy your stay - it's just good business! We loved our unit. We were thrilled. Our balcony looked over one of the little ponds with a fountian and one of the pools was nearby. On Thursday nights they have a "Dive-In Movie Night" at one of the pools. This was the last night of our stay in Orlando and we decided to check it out. It was a huge hit with my daughter (4yo). They put up a huge movie screen and played Disney's Home on the Range. We ordered dinner from the little resteraunt in the pool building and sat and ate while my daughter played with other children at the pool. It was a great evening.

We just got back yesterday from the Vistana Courts section. I made several attempts to get into another section without success. Since our confirmation from SkyAuction was for a 6/6, they wouldn't budge. I should have called skyauction as soon as I received the confirmation and try to change it. I called several weeks ago, a few times, and they said there was nothing left. Maybe if I called earlier, they could have accomodated me. Anyway, we were in the courts. They were very nice. New carpets, furniture, curtains, appliances, and paint. I had realatives staying in the fountains top floor and of course those were nicer, but we enjoyed it anyway. No musty smells, no bugs, and yes it is convienently located. When visiting the Fountains we did drive because of the distance. But we ended up spending most of our pool time at the Cascades pool which was very close, and a great pool at that! Anyway, here are a few pictures of our room when we first arrived. Click here...
