Vistana Resort Courts Section

Booya68 ~
Thanks so much for posting us a report with some great pics upon your return ! The Courts def look better from when I toured them back in Dec '98. The kitchen style is very different from all the other sections----cabinets look a little dated but the appliances look fairly new. I also noticed the chair in the living room looked different from when I saw it. Good to see the Courts are at least trying to keep up. I also agree they are conveniently located to the General Store and Zimmies restaurant.
Would love to see some updated pics of the Spas if anyone has them. I stayed there in Nov '99 and thought the furniture really needed to be updated in the living room.
Hope you had a nice time in FL ! I'm sure your pictures of the Courts will be very helpful to alot of people. :flower:

Thank you SO much, booya, for your report of your stay. I think that will help many others who are wondering and nervous about being placed in one of the older sections.

Glad you had a good trip!

Just back from a week at Vistana!

I posted this on the other recent thread... but thought I would post it here as well....

_____________________________________________________________

We contacted Diamond Lane a couple weeks in advance, and made some requests that would help to get us a newer, or more recently renovated unit. We checked in on a Saturday, so I was really worried about being placed in Courts.

I am not sure, but I think it might have helped that we did this in advance, and that I was SUPER nice... I am sure that they have everyone clamoring for the newer units!

Also, it might have helped that we arrived very early to check in....

I couldn't believe it... Pure pixie-dust... We were given a beautiful, top-floor, unit in Cascades, overlooking the pool... It was fabulous!!!

I did not see the entire resort... but here are my thoughts. I believe that it is Courts and Spas that I really do not think looked so great. But, you know, I am sure that most ANY unit at Vistana that has been renovated would be very nice inside! And, hey, the great Cascades pool, and the Super-pool, etc.... are all open to ALL guests, no matter what unit you are in!

Cascades had a more up-scale apartment-condo feel to it... But, I also noticed that while we were at the pool in another section. (I think it was Fountains I.) That, it also seemed nice, with an entirely different 'feel' to it. Quieter, kind of like a 'villa' where you can simply step outside, and your kids can play on the nice shaded playground, etc...

We really enjoyed our week at Vistana!

Wow Booyaa,
We, of course, spent some time at the Cascades pool as well. It was great! We may have seen each other.... Were you there on Kareoke night???

We had a GREAT trip!!! Except, of course, for the cloudy, rainy, stormy, weather. But, I count us as VERY lucky, as we seemed to really dodge the rain and had a great time, without turning into baked lobsters!!!!

I am SOOOO glad that you had a nice stay in Courts... I had heard that they had been renovated at some point, and your unit looks very nice!

Whew, I am still exhausted from our vacation!!! LOL!

Booya68 - thank you SO much for posting! I was "worried" about getting Courts - but now see that it's probably not too bad.. :flower:

They look pretty nice ... only 10 more days till we leave! :Pinkbounc

Hi Wishing,
Yes, that's Fountains I that is pool front there----those villas are Friday check-in. We had a ground floor there once right in front of the jacuzzis. Well one night, after the pool closed this couple snuck in to the jacuzzi and were getting quite romantic :love2: Security spotted them after about 20 min or so and kicked them out. It was pretty funny having them practically outside our bedroom window and patio. Very convenient villas to have if you use the pool alot though.....

Does anyone know if all the older units in other sections were recently renovated? We will be checking in on a thursday, I don't know if that is bad or good. We could possibly get the left overs that no one want. :confused3

The best I can tell you luvdisney14, is that Vistana's owner associations use our maintenance dues to constantly do upgrades/repairs/renovations. By the looks of booya's pics I'd say the Courts association has been trying to keep up. I've owned at Vistana since '94 and every year we get an update on what's been done in the Fountains (i.e. new carpets, new sofa, new appliances etc). It's an ongoing upgrade. So I'm assuming the other older sections do this as well. Each section has their own association and owners pay dues to support the upkeep of the buildings.
