I recently received an invitation from the Vistana Resort for a 5 day/4 night stay for only $149.00 AND they give you $100 back in resort amenities. It is supposed to be for a one bedroom, but when I called they said if I came in April they would upgrade me to a 2 bedroom with NO CHARGE. I asked if a time share presentation was necessary and they said none was required. There is nothing on the letter that says one is required either. I booked it becasue I couldn't pass it by, but after reading some of the reviews on the older sections I am a bit nervous. Has anyone else received anything like this? Should I reconsider? Any advise would be much appreciated.

Hi There~

You got yourself a great find!!!

I have stayed in the older & the newer. I am going next Nov again, & I am requesting, to be in one of the older sections & to be near, within walking distance of kids pool.

This is a truly wonderful place. Try to take advantage of the fun actives that is going on there, yours kids will love it, & you & your spouse will love all the activities for the adults.

The location is so close to all the restaurants, superwalmart, and parks.

You are going to have a blast, no matter where your room is.

Hope this helps.

Looking forward to reading your report.

Patricia

Ljsmom, so glad you posted. We got the same offer in the mail and now I can't find it but would like to use it. Apparently they have people by name, but you need to give them the name of the promo. Could you tell me the name of the promo so I can call them? Thanks so much.

Could you please PM me the info too! We lost the info and are now having second thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

John

Sounds like an excellent deal. Don't forget to post a review when you return.

I called today and got a NCEA teacher's discount of 129.00 per night for a 2 bedroom villa no presentation required!

Posted on another thread but will repeat here. Got 4 nights for $149 (plus fl tax of $14/night) with $100 cash back @ check in & taa-dah!!!!!!!!!!no time share presentation required. Reservationist said lots of different offers go out w/different requirements.

Our grand total should be $105 OOP for 4 nights (although we'll be leaving the 3rd day for BWV prior reservation). IMO, still a great bargin!

Expedia's site has a nice layout on the resort w/virtual map, looking forward to our stay.

2 concerns though, hope that:

*the confirmation letter verifies what the invite & reservationist indicated.

*we can find our way to WDW, always manage to get lost on 535 & 536, roads aren't marked very well.

Vistana is SOOOOO CLOSE to WDW!!!! If you are leaving the resort through the main entrance, all you have to do is make a right on 535. At the first traffic light, you make a right. Marriott World Center will be on your right, Nickelodeon Hotel on your left. The gates of WDW are right down the road!!!!

If anyone has any questions about Vistana, please do not hesitate to ask. I am an owner there!!!

Thanks for the directions:thumbsup2 . When you say the gate to WDW, is this the East Gate?

The resort's layout looks really nice on the different web-sites.

Any rec. on which bldg. to ask for?

Which pool do you like the best?

Please tell me they have hot tubs?

I'm actually not sure which gate!!!! But I do know that from Vistana Resort, I can EASILY access WDW from the way I told you and also from DTD. Vistana is REALLY close to DTD!!!!! You'll be surprised.

As for which buildings to ask for, make sure you request LAKES or CASCADES. These are the two newest sections of the resort and the units are the nicest by far. Don't get me wrong, the whole resort is GORGEOUS and you will have a great time no matter where you stay! But it doesn't hurt to have a nice room, either. :thumbsup2

YES, they have hottubs!! And I like all the pools...the Super Pool is the biggest!

Anybody know if Vistana is offering any two night specials?
I could 'stop off' for 2 nights the end of this month, and use my annual pass for an EE treat, but I need a place to stay and don't like motels off site all taht much

I think you need the promotion. When I called, I was missing the card I received in the mail and they were able to check whether I was entitled to the promo from our telephone number. Of course you could call and say you are interested in the promo and see what they do. We had to try a few times before getting someone who was knowledgable about the promo.

Kim, which units are the best to stay in there? Are all the 1 bedrooms together in one place?
Regards

I'm not Kim, but I'm also an owner at Vistana.
As KIm already mentioned, most people prefer the newer Lakes and Cascades. These are the only sections with elevators. All 1 bedroom units are located in these two sections. The Lakes and Cascades are not near eachother, so I'd say "no", the 1 bedrooms are not all together in one place.
Hope this helps.

Patricia,
There are kiddie pools at just about every section. Even many of the buildings in the newer section are within walking distance to a kids' pool. It might help to request "close to pool" on your Diamond Lane request form.

what is the number to call? I would like to call to see if I can get in on this great deal!!!! Thanks~~ and have a great trip!! :goodvibes

I received the promotion too ...will be there for $149 for 4 nights in a 2bedroom with a $100 back ...have been told I do not need to go to a timeshare talk...but till I get there I am skeptical of that. We'll see and I hope I can get cascades!

We to are owners at Vistana but have been "trading" our timeshare there for other places the past few years but are going back in 24 days! I can not wait to be back at Vistana! It is such a nice resort. They have SO many activties you can spend a whole day there and not be bored. They always have stuff going on for the kids. Their pools are all gorgeous and its not a far way to walk from one pool to another. Their resturants, espeically Zimmies are FANTASTIC! We LOVE Zimmies and its right beside the pool so you can go in for lunch/dinner and then right back out to the pool.

One question I do have is have any of you ever gone on their casino cruise? We are planning on doing that this yr and leaving our 17 yr old and 7 yr old at the hotel. Their is a pajama party for my 7 yr old and Dive in Movie for the 17 yr old so they will be occupied. Anyways, just looking for any opinions on the casino cruise!
