Vista Spa - can you get a couples massage?

Yes -- we booked a couples massage at Vista the evening we embarked. I would suggest getting there earlier as the choice days (at sea) tend to book rather quickly.

Can you tell me the time (duration) of the massage as well as the cost? I didn't see it advertised on DCL's website.

We did the couples massage as a part of the Romantic Escapes package ($299) but I think I remember seeng that a couples massage was around the $200 range. Have fun

my husband and I did the side by side 1/2 body massages on the ship last time and will be doing it again in just a few weeks. It is heavenly! Think it was $59 plus tip each for about 25-30mins.

The couples massage was 50 minutes, and they charged $89 pp before tip. We had the well-being massage. At the end they 'recommended' various products that they had used during the massage that we should take home and continue to massage ourselves with. One small bottle was upwards of $60.

The girls were very professional and it was a very relaxing experience!

So you can do a full body or 1/2 body couples massage?? Are you in a treatment room together?? This sounds really good and very relaxing and will be at the top of my list for our summer 2006 trip!! Thanks for any info:)

Kathy

We were in the treatment room side-by-side. The lights are dimmed and ocean sounds play very low in the background. I didn't know about a 1/2 massage. There is a spa taster that is offered for couples, too.

Thanks...we are very interested in this but my DH said he would only do it if were in the same room together. He has never been to a spa before so I think he is a little nervous...plus I do think it is more romantic to be in the same room. Good to know that we would be right next to each other. I will definetly book this for our 2006 cruise on one of our sea days!! Now if Disney would just open up 2006 so that we can book a cabin and start paying for our trip:)

When can you book? so for two it would be $189? for $100 more you can get the romance package?

Indymom1 - My DH had never been to a spa, either, until the cruise. He enjoyed it and found it relaxing. You can also tell him that the dress/undress code is 'comfort level' so he can wear briefs if he is of a modest nature.

lillygator - Booking is first come, first served. We booked the evening we embarked and secured a 200 pm slot on Thursday. DH ended up with a tummy bug so we had to cancel and rebook - and by that time, slots were scarce (we ended up with 8am on CC day.) We didn't opt for the Romantic package as we were traveling and bunking with the kiddies and we don't drink. Somehow, I think a romantic turndown would be lost amongst the DD & DS racing for the pillow chocolates and posing with the towel creatures
