Vista Cay- why so expensive????

I got some quotes back from Vista Cay for 3 nts. in June. Now, I know that they will charge a little more since we are not doing a week's stay, but the prices were ridiculous. They were anywhere from $550-$900. I thought the economy was bad??

June is generally a hot month.

so maybe they are hopping for their normal rate. You are too earlier for a bargin.

wait until 60 days or less before you leave.

What is funny is that the quotes from Windsor Hills were much lower than their prices on the websites. I guess they are getting nervous about their bookings, but not vista cay.

then definitely go with Windsor hills.

it may have something to do with its location.

near the convention area.

windsor hills like most of owner rental is closer to WDW.

Allowing for cleaning fee and taxes they seem to be starting from around $137/$140 + tax per night. They are advertised as a higher end resort and I know that the owners expenses, like HOA fees etc, are higher than most other resorts. I suppose they are trying to keep it a high end resort and cover their costs

I just wanted Vista Cay for a few nights while we went to Sea World. We are staying at CBR the week before.
I like WH, but wanted to find something closer to SW.

And, that's probably why. There are very very few short-term rental developments in the I-drive area. Some folks may be willing to pay a premium for location convenience.

But, really, it doesn't matter why. If you can't get a price you are willing to pay, just stay somewhere else.
