I've been receiving quotes from Vista Cay owners (wanted Windsor Palms but can't find anything) but can't find any reviews. Has anyone stayed? Is the clubhouse/pool area open? Construction?
Thanks

Definitely still under construction, it's BRAND new.

Same builder as Windsor Palms and Windsor Hills...but they haven't even started building any pool homes on Vista Cay yet, and may not for a while given the current "soft" housing market.

Thanks for the quick response. Our oldest DD is bringing a friend at the last minute and we thought a 3 bedroom would be nice instead of the 2 bedroom we have reserved thru Hotel Kingdom.

When are you going? That's the important question....I'm guessing Easter? (Otherwise you'd be able to find something on WP). If that's the case...stick with your hotel...there's basically zero open left in the area. I looked and looked the other day for another DISer and we couldn't seem to find anything open on WHR either.

Yes, April 4-11. We are booked at Cypress Pointe and will just make the space work for us. I spent quite a bit of time on www.vrbo.com and the other sites you recommended to a fellow DIS'r.

Thank you

I would actually consider staying at Vista Cay if they have an opening and you can find an open home there. It's brand new and it looks gorgeous. I haven't been there myself, but we stayed at WHR when it was still being built, clubhouse wasn't even open yet, but it didn't bother us in the least. We were in our own townhome / splash pool anyhow, and the construction was going on right down the street, we hardly noticed it. Vista Cay would be a lot nicer than CP I think, for your family, you'd have a lot more space, IF there's anything open there even! From everything I've read the rooms at CP are pretty small. I would put an inquiry out to the VC website and see if anyone has openings, it works just like windsorhillsrent.com where you cna do a general inquiry to all owners (there aren't many yet)...same webmaster actually! If there are any openings then ask them any questions about the clubhouse, construction, etc you might have, plus, it's new, so I'm betting you can still get a great deal there.

Pulte is selling these to prospective buyers with the promise that "you'll be able to get MUCH higher rents of $250-300 a night than Windsor Hills"... :lmao: Nice thing to say about your own resort guys...first of all...secondly... I don't believe it..there's too much housing competition in the area.

I also heard the higher nightly rate for Vista Cay when we were out looking for a property but as 5mins2disney states "there's too much housing competition in the area".

They were trying to get us to buy one of the townhomes but opted for a more realistic option and are perfectly happy :)

Hope you find something for Easter - even if it is not fully completed you may be well away from the construction area so worth looking into.

Tracey
