Vista apartments

Hi my daughter lives in the Vista apartments and I was wondering if anyone knows if there are barbeques by the pool area? She is having a hard time meeting people other than her room mates and I thought that maybe she could have a barbeque/party by the pool to meet people. Does anyone know of other ways to meet people?

I don't know the answer to your question about Vista....I lived in Chatham and didn't ever go over there....

But, I know when I did my program, the majority of my friends were other CPs I worked with. So, I'd say, encourage her to make friends at work! Tell her to ask some of them if they want to go to dinner in Downtown Disney....or watch Wishes at MK....or parkhop on their day off.

Even if she only makes one friend at first, that one friend will most likely have other friends, and those friends will have other friends....and before you know it, she'll have a ton.

but to answer your question, there is a bbq sort of thing(the kind you use charcoal with i believe) by the volleyball pit and pool. some of my work friends had a party and a barbie(australian for bbq, as the ones who planned it were from australia and new zealand) there and it was really fun!

There is BBQ and such at Mickeys Retreat. Its also a great way to meet people. If shes into sports theres always pick up volleyball and soccer games going on. Thats a great way to meet people because they're always looking for another teammate. The more the merrier.
